    I’m 6 foot and 215 pounds. The 390 engine has plenty of power from 0-60mph for my weight. It can get to 100mph but 0-70 with no effort. The smaller tank on the 401 was one reason I didn’t get it, but I think I could probably get 125 miles out of it and that would be ample for an afternoon Sunday ride round trip.

    Yes awesome bike! It was yours, a-last model 390 duke or the 2024 ktm 390 duke. The new duke is a big improvement so I splurged. But when I can grab a deal on a lightly used 401 I will grab it. I am coming from 1000 cc bikes having fun on these 390cc bikes, enough power for most conditions but yeah the light weight is pro and sometimes a con. On the freeway you kind of want a heavier foot print. But when you need to manhandle it like a mountain bike it sure is nice not to have to wrestle with a heavy motorcycle

    Thanks for the video brother.. that's crazy because I'm in CT and want to Head too Arizona. Mesa and I have been looking for a bike that could do it with out spending 10,000 ....it would be a slow ride but I'm ready...what do you think??? Would I be crazy to do that....

      Hmmm I did just do a 4 hour ride from Winslow Az to Goodyear Az on it and it went good! It’s not the comfiest seat but you can get up to 80-90 and it’s not to bad! Should be good maybe 😏

      @@trerackscitynomadadventurer nice, Thanks! Is it two point mount?
      Is it fully compatible or you had to make adjustments?
      I have end bar mirrors, i wonder if its still possible to fit the handguards 🤔

    • @trerackscitynomadadventurer
      @trerackscitynomadadventurer  6 месяцев назад +1

      @Patife_PT I had to take my end bar mirrors off to make these fit because they are a 2 point mount! I have the mirrors I used below as well but you can change mirror if need be! They might have some other style handbars with one sided mount! 🤙

      @@trerackscitynomadadventurer haha yeah, i work at a power sports dealership, that also does safty certification ouf out of province or crash damaged bikes so i get hands on experience with a wide varaity. i thought it looked sweet and then was like hell no after the short test run last year. still want to test ride a ducati scrambler, but so far no luck! main bikes in my stable right now are a vstrom, klr, and an old dyna wide glide(harley)

      @trerackscitynomadadventurer oh yeah I'm a run what ya brung guy, the klr has been with me since 2007, the vstrom since 2017 and well the harley was curiosity getting the best of me in 2022. I have only owned two other bikes, a kawasaki super sherpa, and a drz400s. Both I regret selling, I should have most definitely kept one of those.
