This is really great in it’s utter simplicity! I saw a video before on this and I couldn’t remember what he said and how to fold the tape and all of that. But I can never forget you holding the tape and making that triangle with the wind howling in the background!! Basically with tape.. no wind - without tape …wind sounds! So simple!! You really made your point. Thanks a lot!!
I'm impressed at how well this worked! I'm a little hesitant to have the sticky part out against me but I'll have to try it! UPDATE: I tried it...OMG thank you for such an impressive solution! You saved me from days of headache trying to avoid wind!
WOW ! I have been trying many ideas, but none have been as successful at getting rid of wind noise as your method. I'll be trying it next week. Thanks.
This was great! I want to film some today because it is going to be 81 degrees here in Saint Marys when most of the states are under wintery weather conditions. I have to compliment you though. You have the MOST BEAUTIFUL complexion. Being a red head I just love seeing others golden complexions! Have a wonderful and blessed day! Tammy
I love you man! And I mean it! You have given me so many useful tips, btw, I watched your 'Who Am I' video - I laughed, I cried... dude, I'm gushing. Hello to Cara. Tim in Seattle
Thank you Markus 😊 I'll be using this trick while riding my banshee during some audio recording which will be not only windy but loud from the motor and exhaust pipes. I assume this will help soften that noise as well as the wind. Cheers mate 👍🏽 love the channel subbed
Brilliant! If you put that on your lady, and she's wearing something low cut, where would you put it?? I see guys do this but never women. Thanks, Markus!! As usual, great video. I love how you always think outside the box!
Great tip! I wish you had not brought in music at the and; I especially would’ve liked to hear when you mentioned the helicopter overhead, because I am dealing with a lot of airplanes over the building I’m shooting in and I would’ve loved to see how well that sounds is muffled. Was the helicopter going there entire time? Thanks again
Hi Markus, I exercise on the beach and I would love to record it. Is there anything low budget wireless that you could recommend that could be used with an android phone? Thank you
Its taken me 10 years of terrible coastal wind noise then to find this - It really works thank you
Why are you so smart in a way science cannot comprehend.
I love a good straight-forward solution to a big issue! Thank you Markus!
Loved the no nonsense, so sales pitching, just simple fix love it, you have a new subscriber
Welcome!

Markus, your true nature speaks volumes louder than what you have to say! You are an amazing man! Thanks for helping the world be a better place.
This video is perfect for your current video series on audio! And it's perfect for my Wyoming home! Our wind sock is a chain!
This is the sort of solution that really matters. Thank you!

My pleasure
What mic did you use ?
Never seen this before but the difference is amazing. Awesome trick
Although this vid is 4 years old, this completely worked for my windy/traffic noised situation! Thank you!
Thanks for this. Tried it today in windy conditions and worked well. (Got in a mess trying to do the triangles so just folded in squares!)
One of the most best tip on RUclips, ty.
Great tip! unless you have hair on your chest. Then OUCH! at the end of the recording, lol. Thanks!
Hahhahaha! True!
Maybe do a third triangle with the 'sticky side in' and stick that between your sticky triangle and your chest hair?
If you've got chest hair, fix the mic on you chest using screws.
These tips are gold! Many thanks dear Markus! Have a great weekend.
Thanks: perfect. Simple, fast, low cost, practical and the most important thing, real life demo.
WOW ! I have been trying many ideas, but none have been as successful at getting rid of wind noise as your method.
I'll be trying it next week. Thanks.
Did it work ?
Awesome tips. I Really appreciate the location hacks. Keep em coming. Liked the light stand stabilizer video too. Cool.
Great demo of the difference in wind sound vs solution!
Damn I wish I would have known this before hand. I had a wedding this past weekend and the mics were getting huge wind noise. Thanks for the info.
Totally going to do this thanks!..... by the way your underground studio is awesome!
I always forget how to mic for windy conditions. This helped, thanks Markus.
Thanks markus ! I tryed that with my aftermarket 10$ mic and now its sounds much much better.

You sir are a friggin genius 🙂

Brilliant! If you put that on your lady, and she's wearing something low cut, where would you put it?? I see guys do this but never women. Thanks, Markus!! As usual, great video. I love how you always think outside the box!
taped in cleavage. Its actually better there anyway because you naturally have a wind barrier with a space to stick a microphone
@@MarkusPix OMG, thanks! I knew Cara would know! LOL! Love your channel!
You're genius sir.
Wow! What a great advice! DIY replacement for fur (dead cat) method! :D

What an excellent idea!!!! Thank you! The little foam lav wind-sock I've been using was useless in wind. This thing works great! Thanks!
