Defensive driving courses here in AZ for motorcycle riders cuts their insurance in half. My son went to MMI, & was goinng to take it anyway. Thank goodness!! ♥️
As a parent whose child is starting drivers Ed. Your happy for them, since you remember how you felt. Yet you’re sad since your kid is growing up and soon you know they’ll be graduating. Yesterday my twins graduated and they were the last of my 5 kids. I used to joke that I couldn’t wait for this day and it’s here and I’m all over the place with emotions.

I think I did the best thing for my son. When he was ready for Drivers Ed, after his formal lessons, he became my driver for most of my errands for two years. Lots of grocery shopping, navigating parking lots, watching complicated intersections. We live in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI. To get almost anywhere, we have two large intersections complicated by angle streets. So many of his classmates had accidents while still in high school. He is 27 now and has a perfect driving record. I believe it had everything to do with the constant supervision he had while driving for two years. He gained so much experience. On the day he had his driving test, there was a kid that could barely park between the lines in the parking lot. And he got his license. My son tested well and the examiner said he was the best driver the examiner had tested that day. I didn't have to worry about him getting killed at 17 because he didn't have enough experience behind the wheel. Country roads can be very dangerous too, and sooner or later they will drive in a big city. Do it for them, don't give in to peer pressure. Also, be very aware of who is driving your precious child around when others get there licenses too soon. You will not be the most favored parent! Too bad, your kids will be the ones still alive.

Y’all should be teaching all your girls to drive. Even the trucks, it may save someone’s life one day. Over here a while back a guy and his daughter were working at their lease in the basin and the dad had a tractor accident. This was before cell phones, the daughter ( I think she was 9-10) had to ride a 4 wheeler then drive a boat to the landing get in her dad’s truck and go find help. He sent her, he ended up not making it, but his daughter didn’t have to watch or be stranded out in the wilderness alone.
So glad Hayden has the opportunity to take the driving course. It goes a long way towards building their confidence, and heightening the senses required to operate a vehicle safely.

I got my permit when I turned 15 in December after taking written test then had to wait until spring when my school actually taught behind the wheel defensive driver's training for free. You had to have the permit to take the training. Of course this was 56 years ago, don't know what it's like today.
Just a suggestion leave the door closed unless your going into coop and hens can go out opening and out wire door. Gabby can’t get into through chicken door to steal eggs.
They had a driving class in high school back when i was in school - in the 70's - LoL! My kids didn't have driving class when they were in school, or my grandson, either. We had to teach them ourselves.

I took driver’s ed in high school but of course that was back in 1979 after I was 16. Back then we didn’t have to have a learners permit or any of the newfangled stuff kids gotta go through today to get a drivers license. I still had to take the drivers test at the DMV. In fact I had to take the written part twice and the driving part twice the first time I forgot to use my turn signals. Things have changed so much.

You need to stand there and make sure Gunner gets to eat cuz when them ponies comes over there I guarantee you the nip at him that is the reason Gunner does not eat his food because of them ponies they can really hurt him and the reason I am saying that I used to raise horses and they will hurt dogs you don't need to put Gunnar with them ponies because they can get mean and really hurt him so you need to put Gunner somewhere else and he don't need to be in with the pigs either so y'all need to find a place for him to eat I know he's a guardian livestock dog I've got two guardian Life stock dogs day guard my chickens in my cattle I just thought I'd let you know

You may want to pic the blackberries as they get ripe. If you wait for the red ones to turn dark, the ones that are dark now will dry up or fall off.
