Tony was clearly playing slow because he knows Jason is a fast player, but that is not illegal, and it is why they use a shot clock most of the time. If there is not a shot clock there is nothing illegal about slow play. In the last game Jason broke dry, then he sat down in his chair. Then he waited for Tony to go to the table, then while Tony was at the table looking at how he was going to run them out, Jason jumped up and put chalk on the table and removed the magic rack. That is a sharking type disrespectful move, it is meant to distract Tony and shark him. Which is what the announcer did not like, and I did not like it either. Jason did it on purpose, he should have just stayed in his chair and let Tony study the table and remove the rack if he wanted to. Once you sit down and the other player is at the table, you should stay in your chair and be quiet, anything else is trying to shark the guy.
Thanks for explaining that. Obviously Jayson was unhappy after the dry break but I didn't realize the ramifications of him placing the chalk and clearing the rack.
@@5000rgb I hate it when I am playing someone and they break dry, then sit down, and while I am looking at the table to decide how I am going to run out, they come back to the table and look at something. I usually tell them to go sit back down, they have no business at the table after they break dry. It's a form of sharking, they are trying to distract you. I have played for 35 years in every pool league there is and played in a thousand tournaments, not to mention pool hustling at late night bars and nightclubs for 20 years, so I have seen it all.
Taking 40 seconds to break and playing slow, if it is a strategy that was consciously employed by Robles, is a angling/sharking move too. If he played slow and Jayson came to the table and removed the rack, Neither acted outside the rules of the game. Both simply fucked with or "sharked" one another
Most likely, you sympathize with / play like Robles more so u dislike cocky aggressive sharkers -- and I sympathize with Shaw more so I dislike slow old sharkers ;)
I think some of it had to do to that tony asked him to remove the rack as well but it was a build up from tony playing slow intentionally to get to jaysons rhythm

Damn dumb commenters, Robles s takes all kinds of time every time and hits a hard one and takes less time than Robles on an easy one so they belly ache??
That really depends on the rules you are using, in this case they are using official rules and those rules dont say anything about having to hit the 8 ball clean into a pocket.
Commentators could well stick an apple in their mouths. Especially Ken Shuman, stop thinking you're some infallible demi-god of pool. Play was great it was the commentating that "took the fun out of it".
sure enough no nothing cotton says what he would do, any of you who havent seen cotton shoot havent missed anything, i saw him shoot on a 8 ft. playing 8 ball, and he would have gotten a little worse than halfway in our weekly 8 ball tourny in this town of 50,000 people..yet when commenting on players who has won in world tournys he will sound like he knows more than them..he dosent i read his shitty book..he is just a loudmouth nobody that must have something on person who gave him this job, i may just watch this crappy movie on my movie channel cause cotton is co- commentating, and im getting nauseated.
Watched the Breakdown. Searched tony. Landed here and damn them are some funny announcers
Same
same
I didn’t even have to search for Tony after the breakdown,RUclips just brought me hear🤷🏻♂️😂
SAAAAMEEEEE
This recommended to me after the breakdown lol.
"Tony will kill you with kindness, and then you'll thank him for it" LOLLLL
34 seconds to run out for Jay in rack# 11. UNREAL!!!
Wat. A slow bastard. That tony. Movin. His. Butt. To. Break. N. Takin. For. Ever just. Like. Archer
Tony Sarabia half the point of playing slow is getting people off their game
that's poor sportsmanship, same as jayson shaw acting like a kid in this match. Both are just ways to make pool NOT about pool...
@@JP-ho4kr but Tony isn't doing that here. He's just playing at his pace.
robles is like a machine on those breaks
"I'm gonna go get me some of those 'tayta chips" ... end of the match. Jayson Shaw is a silly man with those outs

Agreed. Definitely goes against common pool etiquette.

Annoying when they change camera angle when they break. Hard to keep track of the cue ball. Keep the second angle from the strike.
Those commentators... If Earl was acting like this, they would have loved him for it
ikr, oh well. just earls antics.
*BAR TABLES?*
Clearly Jayson is a higher caliber player
He would give him a foul for cleaning the ball ? Or for a pre shot ritual? Wow
My boy Tony kicking ass
I seem to missed it in the last rack. What exactly did Jayson Shaw do that was unsportsmanlike?
He didn't do anything. He was agitated with Tonys slow play. Kinda understandable. The guy was taking forever just to break. Smh
I think some of it had to do to that tony asked him to remove the rack as well but it was a build up from tony playing slow intentionally to get to jaysons rhythm
He approached the table and removed the magic rack That was either Tony's job or the Refs. You don't approach the table, if it's not your turn.
Glasgow is pronounced "Glaz-go"
Shaw could have improved his attitude, true. But I would never watch 2 Tony Robles playing each other for 5 hours.
Why didn't u they talk about Tony's movie career lol jus saw the movie . Turn the river

Is all this weird movement stuff of Tony's an act? He plays well, but I've never seen a pro take so long to get comfortable at the table.🤔🙄
Shaw is ranked #5 In the world on FargoRate and most amateurs play way too slow.
Put him on a shot clock, Jason is already at the next level
Damn dumb commenters, Robles s takes all kinds of time every time and hits a hard one and takes less time than Robles on an easy one so they belly ache??
Is this 8 ft table or 7 ft ?
7 ft
I like Bobby a lot more than Kenny.
*OMG TONY IS LIKE A WOMAN GETTING DRESSED. HE TAKES FOOORR-EVVER*
GAME 2 TONY 8 BALL SHOT HIT A BALL BEFORE DROPPING. THOUGHT 8 BALL HAS TO GO CLEAN. GUESS NOT HERE
That really depends on the rules you are using, in this case they are using official rules and those rules dont say anything about having to hit the 8 ball clean into a pocket.
Why is Jason disrespectful??? He removed plastic and gave his opponent chalk.
Jayson was very disrespectful and unprofessional.
Wow.....
Tuvok played well here
they both are very good tony missed but he could have got out. it was pretty tough though
Trapped House Productions tony suckz.. Fucking slow irritating player..
WTF are these two muppet commentators talking about? If he wins after the way he acted??
Sloppy player, sloppy attitude. Tony deserved that win.
S. SH really!! Good joke..
Superstition is a doctrine of devils.
Dennis talks a lot of shit but he is not that good. I have seen him play. Maybe in the day he was but not any more LOL.
Commentators really? Omg you ever just have a bad match. Why sit an cut on jason. Talk about his attitude. Yours as commentary are a joke today.....
Tony's wife is hot
A toddler and a stray dog would make better commentary
Commentators could well stick an apple in their mouths. Especially Ken Shuman, stop thinking you're some infallible demi-god of pool. Play was great it was the commentating that "took the fun out of it".
one of these commetators is really low brow!
worst commentating I've ever encountered ever

I really want to listen to the commentary but all I can hear is the guys tongue rolling in his mouth 🤢
Tony plays like a sloth, and that gets agitating.
He actually shook his head and looked away a few times. He should ashamed of himself.
what an attitude Jayson Shaw. poor sportsmanship
one of these commetators is really low brow!
Hell, it is a low brow sport!
