Great actors in what looks like a high production show ..... using contemporary language to discuss a real historical event in a period series.
Instant loss of interest to watch, even though I do have Apple+. Studios really need to stop doing that, as it kills immersion and it being believable. Like having a diverse cast of races in a time where it just didn't happen. Especially when said diversity has rank, money, and power in ways that were essentially impossible.

That’s why I have so much respect for what Spielberg was able to do with Lincoln. It was as accurate a representation as we’ve ever had on screen AND it drew you in through the acting, the writing, and the aura. It felt like you were there. But the goal of this series isn’t to do that. These major networks aren’t trying to do something historically accurate or significant. They’re looking for the next sensationalist tv series and they’re going to keep churning them out until they do. Apple, Netflix, Prime, Hulu…it’s all the same really.
