There have been quite a few changes and it is honestly difficult to find content that can walk you through it, but I would join the Shopify Devs discord if I were you! You can get lots of help from people there that would be happy to help you out. Once I get back to being able to upload then I'll make sure to cover what you need :)

They have session storage connectors available for things like this, the default template has it hooked up using SQLite. It’ll automatically handle things like token and session management, and they have connectors for the most common dbs so they probably have you covered. For saving the shop url you can do that yourself by just writing it to your db when a shop installs, nothing else special needed there
Here is the docs for the Tabs component where you can see exactly how they do it, the content just goes directly within the tags polaris.shopify.com/components/navigation/tabs
