great job on the drums, well I'm finally getting back into it after 30 years lol took lessons when i was a teen, had a full 10 piece Ludwig set, but now I'm picking up my new Tama this week...i do need your advise what sound system are you using that's next to you, i see so many out there, plus id like to hear what I'm playing to with headphones on ..any advise is greatly appreciated....
Thanks! My set up is a complete, full production, recording studio BUT a simple thing for you would be to: have a small mixing board with enough channels to mic up your kick, snare and one or two overhead mics to capture the cymbals and toms. Plus a channel to run your phone or computer through for playing your music. Head phone out for listening (I’m using the Shure 215 in ear monitors). This way you can clearly hear your drums mixed with your music. It’s definitely a great way to play! Hope that helps!
