Hey, doctor its, At the risk of sounding like I'm coming out of left field. IMO 22 years ago when Kellly was on American Idol, I believe she hurt her upper register, and that's why she has those fails ( as they say) For me she can never fail. What are your thoughts?
us women get swollen on the belly when we are on our period. her vocals were really tired and limited on both nights in February, she said that period limits her range
I think even her "fails" were not THAT bad. Some of her live performances from this year and last year, you can tell she had mic issues. That's why she may have been in the wrong key or pitchy. So she couldn't hear what was going on
These are not fails when an artist who really hones their voice and really knows their voice is singing any given day you just don't have it everyone thinks that singers are perfect all the time but the truth is sometimes you just don't have that sound that day you can't extend that far Kelly is fabulous at noticing that and pulling back The people who are watching her in concert don't see a fail they just noticed a different Note in that moment. But even what's considered a fail is just controlling her voice and not damaging it because I bet she could have pushed those notes but the reason she still sounds great at 42 is because she doesn't. There's video of her in the studio long ago and she literally opens her mouth to hit a note and nothing comes out which is what happens when I try to hit high notes but that's cuz I'm an alto.
Typically there might be one high note/ big moment in a song. Some songs don’t have any and some might have a few. They have pressed her to do high notes in her songs her entire career. It’s her staple kinda. She’s damn good at it so I don’t see why not. She doesn’t oversing and do a ton of tricks and stuff. She’s too good of a singer to sound like most of the pop stars today regardless. Why would you not use one of the best vocal instruments in the world to the best of it’s ability? 🤷🏼♀️
We are all created with our own abilities and gifts, there are people out there who can hit a G-10 that's not even a note it's a frequency, my point is this, just because God created whoever wth an upper register, that doesn't automatically make them a better singer. I think people confuse popularity with talent
@@davidthomas1138 Her upper register is only a small piece of her talent, not all of it. She legitimately has a great singing voice. Her tone, clarity (when not using distortion or anything), control, agility, phrasing, vibrato, falsetto, transitions, the vocal effects that she can add for emotion, ability to emote in general, versatility, and range are all incredible. I’m sure that there are some people out there who can hit a super high note but everything else vocally is mediocre/unimpressive. That isn’t the case for KC though. So, her having an impressive upper register only adds to her level of talent.
Kendra, I think you're missing the point, I was not belittling Kelly or her abilities, which are vast, and she's only gotten better over the last Twenty three years. She's my favorite Singer ever, and I listened/brought everything from Classical to hip-hop, so my repertoire of singers/entertainer's is a lot larger than the average person. I love Kelly's talent and I thank Yahawah( Gods true name in Paleo Hebrew) for the gift and abilities he has created her with, and I thank him also for the blessing of hearing her gift. Please don't misconstrue what I've said, I was just trying to start a conversation.
I’m just going to say this because I think it’s valid in this comments section: KC can do runs, whistle notes, higher notes than she even does in her songs, etc., but she rarely does them because she doesn’t need to rely on tricks because her voice is enough on it’s own. I wish she showed some of those things off a little more personally because it’s beautiful when she does. Also, I know that she can do those things, but a lot of other people don’t. Like that run she did in Lost & Lookin’ floored me because I’d never heard her do a run like that & it was stunning!

I believe that’s because not only is she THAT good (and i agree that there are few “fails”) but she’s also a true professional.

Don't care what anyone says she's great! I don't think she really needs to hit all the high notes so much sometimes less is more

WHY WOULD THEY EVEN HOST A CONCERT AT 6AM!? 🤐
it was a rehearsal for today show
@@doctorits OHHH I GET IT 😭
Do you have a Doctorate, or 's?
2:13 yet she still won’t do the Love So Soft Eb6 🤣🤣🤣
I NEVER GET WHY, she nailed it on carpool karaoke. maybe because it’s a whistle and she rarely uses this register
@@doctorits Maybe. It’s kinda annoying but at the same time at least we GET!! A Eb6 from her one way or another 🤣

Their not fails it's just bad sound in the videos!
no lol
Too many high notes. Just because you can doesn't mean you should in every song. Ruins the song after a bit.
not every song by her has high notes… and i hate it because i think every song should have a high note
