Interesting game. Never heard of it before and now i would like to play it. The second player in a 2 player certainly has an advantage as Naveen demonstrated. I would make a "game" of this be two games where each person goes first once and the winner is total score of the two rounds. Keep up the play throughs. you two do an excellent job.
@@BeforeYouPlay No. Bought 5 small box, filler games a couple of weeks ago on a whim, and going through them, one each week. Hats is up in a day or two.
This looks really fun! Thanks for showing us quick filler games along with the big table-busters. The variety is terrific and, as always, presented so well. Adding Hats to my "buy" list.
Great play through! Actually thought this one wouldn't really work as a 2player game, and is mainly a 3player game. Glad to see it's actually really fun!
We like it at all player counts, find the game is most fun with 3 and 4 players as the 2P version the player who takes the final action has a fairly significant advantage.
Parade is a beefier version of this that doesn't have the last player turn advantage. In fact the last round equivalent to the favorite hat design in parade is even more tense and strategic.
Looks like a great filler! I was thinking of Arboretum while you played, but then was looking at my collection and realised that I also have Songbirds which has a similar scoring mechanic where you score the one card left in your hand at the end of the game. Perhaps I can do without another which is same same but different. Why is it so hard to say no? Hello, my name is Xander and I'm a board game addict
George Fothergill Funny, it was my first thought, too :) Sure, this one plays simpler and faster, which makes it a good filler. I can’t say Arboretum appeals to me much, it’s just a personal preference, but I can see myself playing this one.
Yeah, definitely think in a 2P game there should be some advantage/perk for the 1st player. Another comment suggested play 2 rounds and total up the scores for the true winner.
What are your thoughts on this game?

Hey that's a great idea! Definitely in the 2P game there is a significant advantage to going 2nd.
So glad you posted this....just got it last week and will be playing next week! Thanks! perfect timing!
Oh that's so cool! Had you played it before?

I really like this filler series!
Thanks.
Thank you Eduardo!

Oh awesome! Hope you guys enjoy it as well!
@@BeforeYouPlay We are definitely fans of games with offbeat themes and interesting artwork. Thanks again!
Awesome review cleared up all my questions thank you.
Glad it helped!
Looks like a great card game. Reminds me in some ways if Piepmatz. Loving your channel 🙂
That's a title we've not played yet. It has interested me for quite some time.

We absolutely love Parade. A few years ago when it was out of print we searched high and wide to track down a copy.
Hats seems very fun! If you guys haven't played In Front of the Elevators, you just might like it!
We've tried a friend's copy once last year. It was a pretty clever one.
if I had no cards on table in color of my faovorite hat (last card in my hand), do I get minus points or no point for favorite hat?
Y’all need to try Parade
It’s one of our favorites!

Haha first step is always admitting we have a problem :)
If you all have not tried Hanamikoji, I highly recommend it as a two player filler. The mind games are intense...
Think I would probably prefer Hanamikoji over this as a 2 player.
We really enjoy that title too!
It seems slightly like arboretum? That’s one of my fav card games!! Have you played it?
Hi yeah we have. Arboretum definitely has more depth. It's one of Monique's favorite card games :)

And how does this compare to, say, inheritors?
Reminds me of Mandala..
Very nice game ☺️💕
It is an intense card game as you said Monique, I am exactly like Naveen when win against my wife..
Now I want this game, my kind of card game. Kind of in the same lane as Lost Cities and Hanamikoji
Love Hanamikoji!
Aww one of our favorite 2P card games :)
Lol, so much editing, I can imagine all of the agony we were spared.
U also very nice 👌💐
i just don't like the power of the last person in this game.

@@BeforeYouPlay but how come is this advantage only in 2p and not in 3-4p - it looks like it would be present in all player counts, no ?
