The great thing about having decades behind you (in my case nearly seven!!!) is the opportunity to hear new sounds when they come along. The sad thing about getting older is growing deaf to new sounds…either physically or emotionally deaf. Its a blessing to hear anything Sarah has chosen to share during her decades.
They say that 'God does not talk to them anymore'. And why would God want to talk to them if they were given the opportunity to see the Light with their own eyes and blessed with the ability to understand It with the mind in a way that very few people are even able to - and yet they chose darkness.

I have loved Sarah for years. She is a very underrated artist. Her new album is amazing. I have all her albums and will continue to buy them and make the wonderful music she does. I listened to a lot of her live performances she does as well a lot just acapella and a piano really shows how talented she is. Glad to know there is actually some true talent still out there. Compared to what is on mainstream radio. Some of the new up and coming artists are very talented but majority of it is crap. Everything is so auto tuned now days its ridiculous and not even the person's real voice.
She was one of the most successful Canadian artists of the 90s alongside Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain, and Celine Dion..she's definitely not underrated.

I love this song! Conjures up memories of the brilliance of Sarah McLachlan's album, "Surfacing."
What a truly marvelous year that was! It was the last period in our time before the violence, deceit, and horrors of the turn of the century. All led by a disastrous and bumbling fool of an administration, leaving us in economic collapse. We became the sham of the world, yet still so blinded by ignorance we elected an even worse despot wannabe. This era is so profoundly wounded, that although we moved forward in time with the rest of the western industrialized world, as a people and a country we've still not emerged into the 21st century. How much lighter, it was then.
I briefly heard a clip of this song during the advertisement for Cedar Cove, a popular show on the Hallmark Channel. I thought it was catchy. When I finally found the entire song and listened, I fell in love with it. Its been on repeat on my iPod since this afternoon, when I finally found and downloaded it.

This song always makes me cry because of my mom a feminist who marched out of university Queens university 1969. Despite being expelled and arrested she stood with the entire school protesting the wrong. We saw Sarah preform this song in Saskatoon it was the best time EVER.
