  • Knight-Hennessy scholar Kelsey Freeman reflects on how nationality, race, and class play a role in determining who is able to come to the United States through authorized avenues, and who must undergo a perilous journey to the same destination.
Kelsey is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences, and is a member of the 2022 cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars.
Weekly storytelling workshops at Denning House, home to Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University, give first-year scholars a chance to hone their presentation skills with interactive learning, building authentic connections with each other as they go.
