Will it Work? Is a series where Kevin from Video Game News Radio and Oblast Radio goes through his console collection and tries to see if his consoles work or not. Note, this isn't a show about the history of the consoles you see. It's just a fun test to see if they turn on, and how they look once running.
On this episode, Kevin looks at the 2800 by Atari Corporation. Released in 1983. A Japanese release of the 2600 for the Japanese market from Atari directly. Because of the late release time going up against the recently launched Nintendo Famicom, the 2800 never stood a chance. 30 games were released with it when it went on sale, but few units sold and it was soon canceled.
