Thanks Sandy. I too am looking forward to heading back on Bodmin. ⚠️ Jinx weather is on the way.⚠️ Sounds like a musical, ‘Brown Willy and the Hat Man’. 😉
A cracking solo camp amid the splendid Beacons Jinx. I saw a chunky pair of boots there - good for potential bog. Nice pitch and awesome light in the morning. I bet it felt good. Mark
I did bump into one other mad man, a chap called Mark as I took the Corn Du bypass route. We did chat for several minutes and that’s when the light suddenly disappeared. Had a fab time and did share the valley with the sheep 🐑 😉
Hi Keith. This one nighter was good fun. Pen y Fan was cloud bound and in the dark it had a spooky feel. Had a great campsite and spent most of the night out of the wind. Thanks Ant 🙂
HI Cousin SI From Cornwall What Kind O Warm Soup Did U Have In Thermos Ant? Do U Teach School As Job Ant Or Going To School To Get Degree Or Certification? Thank U Men ATB
Hi Andrew. Oxtail was the flavour of the day. I work in an office but the reference to being a school night is schools only open on weekdays and I was camping on a weekday too 😉
@@mountains_and_moors I'm going to have to learn the chords for that song now I can see it.... Nice to see you have finally got your 'big boy pants on' and managed without Sandy or me, I doubt you were any quieter but still, the sheep were probably amused. See you tomorrow for an ear burning weekend of nattering with Sandy....and me trying to get a word in edge-ways :D
Welcome Fraser. Guess I need to get of my arse and start shooting some more vids. Easier said than done at the moment! I do have some new kit so maybe a play in the garden is required 👍🏻😉
I don’t find travelling in the dark an issue. As long as you have visibility with a torch. Fog/mist/excessive rain are way more challenging even in the day as you can not see where you are and can’t even read the contours of the land. GPS/Smart phone is great for confirmation of where you are. Map and compass is great but you need to know where you are. Best of all, knowledge of the area. I have done this walk several times. Pen y Fan was dark and cloud bound but when walking up to the top where I was by the national trust sign, I knew I had to walk of 90 degrees to my right. Thanks for the Q, Ant 😉
Hi Ant. Great video and was good to bump in to you and have a chat!
Hello Mark. Glad you found my Channel. It was good to bump in to you. Two mad men on a dark cloudy mountain. ATB Ant 👍🏻😉
You put together a nice little video here Ant. A nice edit. Looking forward to seeing Brown Willy and the Hat man:)

Excellent sneaky mid week camp, so simple and easy, love it! Breakfast on way back, turn up to work as Mr Stinky...... see ya soon chap.
How rude, I had a ‘full on’ wet wipe bath and cleaned my teeth before entering the office. Looking forward to catching up soon 🙂

Good one nighter Ant, well done! Not the easiest place to walk in the dark and find a nice camp site. Regards Keith

WHAT?
Well done, no rain not jinxed no grumpy man.
Looked nippy enough?
It was trying to rain throughout the evening. Finally had showed between 2am and 4am at which point the temp did drop and get chilly 🥶
Hi Ant. Loving the videos. Just a quick question. What is your tried and tested method for navigating in the dark?

@@mountains_and_moors Thanks for the info Ant. I appreciate it. Keep up the great videos.
Hi Ant, Great video, how did you manage to fit the soulo in your 30l pack?
I open the top of the rucksack and slide it in length ways! It is a slightly bulky tent but minimise the other items and it’s fine. ATB Ant
