Superb boots. Felt like running shoes right out of the box for comfort. Walked 12 km chasing birds with my camera this morning, including 45 minutes standing in ankle deep water while photographing Kingfishers and no issue with wet feet. Had mine for over two years now and they're showing no signs of wear except the insole. Have worn them in some very cold (northern Alberta winter) weather and they kept my feet warm (along with good sock layering and I was on the move).

I’m the same, still love these boots. Stiff sole but built for climbing mountains 💪

I have the 10 inch insulated pair. Most comfortable light boot I’ve ever worn. And I’ve tried a lot of boots.

Just bought a pair and don't like them. Very narrow and extremely stiff for a flex rated boot.

I am a diehard kuiu fan. I have this kuiu scarpa boot and real-world review out in the field. It is narrow and very uncomfortable. The heel doesn't support it as it advertised. The outter sole is so narrow that I almost break my ankle a few times. I went back to my Solomon quest gtx, and it is superior on comfort and lock my heel and ankle in. I love the Salomon quest gtx, but one con about it, it is not as durable as the kuiu scarpa.

Didn't like mine. I own crispi, hanwag, and Lowa as well and these scarpas were very uncomfortable in comparison. The scarpas have phenomenal traction but for the weight and flex rating they're extremely stiff and very narrow. I bought a half size up and it seemed to be the perfect size. Just too narrow and stiff. I did keep the kuiu scarpas and are going to try and break them in. I'll do a follow up and let people know.

I have a pair of Crispi Summit II GTX, but I want a second pair of boots. I prefer to switch out my shoes everyday, so they can dry out and last longer.
I’ve been comparing these to the new Crispi Altitude GTX, and I’m torn. The Kuiu’s are $40 cheaper with a much better warranty, and are lighter.
Crispi’s have a much higher following and are the “In Boots” at the moment, and these new seem great!!

How stiff are they? The height of the boot is not related to ankle support in any way. I have 12" high danner canadians which have absolutely zero ankle support. How stiff are they side to side? How would their support compare to say a Kenetrek mountain extreme?

They are great if you have a narrow foot. Check out there reviews on the Kuiu site. Love my pair for the mountains

@@precisionrifle1 How stiff are they? I’m looking for a hiker / Western Hunting / trekking boot that isn’t super stuff, but can handle the load of a backpack and some off the beaten path hills. But I don’t want my feet hurting from a super stiff heavy boot.
