Stoked for DNF: Duel , never played the game it’s based on but arcs is the only big developer experimenting and trying to push boundaries in the genre. I’ve been a life long capcom fan, but it’s clear they aren’t the Capcom of the 90s that was willing to make new IP’s and take risk. instead they’ve decided to coast of the SF brands legacy & putting out mediocre games that are literally unfinished . Arcs on the other hand has been keeping the genre alive and fresh for the past 15+ years, they’re not married to a formula of their past titles as with each game they are willing to change things completely. Fans complain about this of course, as FG fans become attached to one game usually, but since each game gains a strong community this has allowed their games to be played post twilight phase and the new games then bring in new fans to the genre. Unlike games like Tekken, even though they’re good games, they have stayed true to their formula with each installment making the game very hard to bring to new comers.
19:11 That game is cool, but it has DDOSing and Smurfing issues, especially in rank. Some players get bumped out of top 1000 of platinum tier because of this.
"Best community in gaming" huh? Quite the title :D Usually I'd call that BS right away but this time i dont know...Maybe? I dont think ive seen enough communities to judge...Also what makes a community good or bad? Ive actually been hanging around with a lot tekken players these last few years and i really like some of the people i met! Sidenote...Once again thanks Macsplicer! Your videos motivated me to actually get in touch with these other local tekken players and ive had a blast getting better at the game :D However oddly enough, i do tend to run into a lot of players these days that have a disturbing level of....elitism? Or I dont know what to call it...An good example would be that ive seen a few streams where people fight in tournaments...And someone loses to a random hopkick or button spammer and then the streamer just starts making the most bullshit excuses...Like "you idiot, how could you do that hopkick on -4. the only reason you won is because you played soo badly". Am i the only one that sees a problem in that sentence? :D Other thing would the entire smash thing that if its a fighting game or not. Personally i dont care for nintendo but I saw a little while ago one new smash community asking for help in finding players and any tips for streaming a tournament...And the oldguard of the fgc responded by "We shall only help if you also do a fighting game tournament",,, I would assume a lot of our players overlap but im not sure...Shoutout would have not hurt anyone in my eyes :/ Or IF you would have included the smash players here in the video then i believe a lot of FGC players would have annoyed by it,,, But im speaking as casual tekken(&scrub soul calibur) player that cares about 2d fighter the same amount as i do for nintendo. Personally I tryed both and decided they are not for me but hey if macsplicer is talking about SF5 then sure il hear him out and see hows it going for the other guys...But i guess ive always also been the same headset with metal music...I like trash,nu,industrial metal but i dont like death metal. That being said im still respectful for death metal and all its done for the metal community in general :D Ramble, ramble, ramble :D Sorry about that :D
FGC came before everything else before shooters, mobas. The whole problem is that they honestly didn't control the scene they let the scene control them.
It's weird cause I've always been aware of the FGC and watched from afar but I never took fighting games seriously until Dragon Ball FighterZ. It's the first fighting game I took seriously, I still suck lol but since then I've played Tekken, Battle for the grid, MvC3, and Guilty Gear Xrd so I guess I went from not a fan of fighting games to... Fighting games are cool lol. At the moment the only fighting games I've put my focus on have been Tekken 7 and BFTG. This video was very informative and gave me a perspective on the FGC as a whole.
It sucks to say but covid was good for fighting game fans. If this didn’t happen rollback still would be barely used. Now it’s a must or your game is dead.
Man... I want to play skullgirls but tag team isn't really my thing. But I guess I'll try. Also, Them's fighting herds looks awesome. Thought it was silly at first and seeing the gameplay in this video made me interested
if we want the fgc to grow we need to stop having playstation exclusive fighting games, fighting games need to come out on both xbox and ps it's getting a bit better but arc system need to stop being stingy with their games
After the allegations with the Smash Community of problematic predators with sexual allegations, it seems that it only enforced NINTENDO to essentially be tighter with how its IP gets released and how others are allowed to play it. With currently no legal way of implementing ROLLBACK netcode on either Melee or Ultimate, will it result to it being a purely public underground scene hated by the rest of all the gaming scenes? Now that EVO is owned by Sony (now a USA company based property instead of Japan), will Nintendo of Japan welcome it? or will it force to order Nintendo of America to decline all forms of involvement with the FGC? Keep in mind all foreign Nintendo branches bow down to Nintendo of Japan a lot of times in business decisions.
17:00 Lies, it made a lot of money when it was released. Pandemic just made things difficult for development on everyone's end, for every game company.

I pay respect to the algorithm overlords for leading me here. What a nice video. Thanks
Glad to here you liked it!
Great job Mac!
Thank you!
DNF is a fighting game MMO 90% of the community is heavily PVP oriented.
It also has asymmetrical viewpoint which makes it pretty unique in fighting game standards
At last, the promised day has come!
So nice to see pocket bravery here
19:11 That game is cool, but it has DDOSing and Smurfing issues, especially in rank. Some players get bumped out of top 1000 of platinum tier because of this.
Fantasy strike also had cross platform play across the board btw ^^
Stadia as well?
@@MacSplicer does stadia need to be included to count as cross platform? XD
@@lorentsenjr lol I suppose not.
Strive hype
Cant believe this doesnt have the only game I play +R due to the fact I have an ass PC which cant play anything younger than a decade
+R is shown at the end.
Your videos motivated me to actually get in touch with these other local tekken players and ive had a blast getting better at the game :D
However oddly enough, i do tend to run into a lot of players these days that have a disturbing level of....elitism? Or I dont know what to call it...An good example would be that ive seen a few streams where people fight in tournaments...And someone loses to a random hopkick or button spammer and then the streamer just starts making the most bullshit excuses...Like "you idiot, how could you do that hopkick on -4. the only reason you won is because you played soo badly". Am i the only one that sees a problem in that sentence? :D
Other thing would the entire smash thing that if its a fighting game or not. That being said im still respectful for death metal and all its done for the metal community in general :D
Ramble,ramble,ramble :D Sorry about that :D
FGC came before everything else before shooters, mobas. The whole problem is that they honestly didn't control the scene they let the scene control them.
alright boys i’ll see u all again next year
It's weird cause I've always been aware of the FGC and watched from afar but I never took fighting games seriously until Dragon Ball FighterZ.
I've never played Gran Blue (no interest whatsoever) but I still listen to the soundtrack from time to time.
What is the track you used for MK11
Mortal Kombat 11 - Rise Credits.
You forgot Project L Mac!
It’s at the end lol. Also what do you want me to say about it? “It’s coming..I think.” 😅
@@MacSplicer Just say it will save the FGC, cure cancer, and end world hunger. That's all.
It sucks to say but covid was good for fighting game fans. If this didn’t happen rollback still would be barely used. Now it’s a must or your game is dead.
Yeah crazy that it took a world pandemic for fighting games to hop on the rollback train lol.
@@MacSplicer indeed. Pitiful
Man... I want to play skullgirls but tag team isn't really my thing. But I guess I'll try.
Also, Them's fighting herds looks awesome. Thought it was silly at first and seeing the gameplay in this video made me interested
Skullgirls has the option to play 1v1, 1v3, or even 2v2. It's quite balanced.
@@odindarkll3706 Yeah, but I feel like I would immediately die if I go 1v3 idk why. I guess I should try it though

Shoutouts to the homie Ernesto!
if we want the fgc to grow we need to stop having playstation exclusive fighting games, fighting games need to come out on both xbox and ps it's getting a bit better but arc system need to stop being stingy with their games

20:37 Samsho --> Possible future : Rollback implementation
Two words
BS
@Flameoffx24
In case you really don't know, it means bullsh*t
Yooo Lincoln footage. Lol
Lincoln famous now lol.
When I see a state of fightibg games and a soul calibur charecter is on the front im in, I was thinking about sc6 and what the future lies
17:00 Lies, it made a lot of money when it was released. Pandemic just made things difficult for development on everyone's end, for every game company.
