I never imagine i would feel sadness and nostalgia while looking at a rice field... and yes, if you've watched Lily Chou Chou this is that same rice field in the movie. It's pretty cool to see that none has changed in all those years.
Watching this I feel kinda sad, its silly but the emptiness of the landscape in the video makes me contemplate about whatever happened to all those characters long after the film was over, the main character, the girl, lily chou chou, the parents, the cd stores, the teachers, the high school bullies and students, the chat room etc, how are they now? Have they changed for the better or no? Are they still living there? Is the chat room still being used or now just a dead site? Is Lily Chou Chou (In the world of the film) still making music? Have everyone been able to move on from the tragic events of the movie? Even all these years later this film still makes me feel so many sad and melancholic emotions although I hope there's no sequel, the mystery is what makes the film heartbreaking in the first place.
In the future, I hope I could go there and witness the beautiful scenery of that place (not just that place, but hopefully all of the location they filmed at:)). I love AALCC so much. 𐙚♡
