- Automated announcements from Dublin Connolly station, voiced by Michael Comyn with a little help from Celia.
Apologies for the background noise. Please note there were no announcements for trains departing platforms 1-4 and only delay announcements played for DART services. All Michael's announcements were preceded by a chime but some were not captured.
I watched this with auto subtitles on. Some of the interpretations of station names are hilarious. 😂 The suburban service to Peru serving Godzilla was my favorite 😂😂😂
As for Scary Balbriggan I'll offer no comment 😮
Magnificent Irish announcement

Yes would be good if it announced everything. There were loads of new speakers waiting to be connected up so maybe they’ll do something about it!
@@Parallel395 At present the automated announcements at Connolly 5-7 are still manually triggered by operators. Sometimes there are announcements on 1-4 for platform alterations. When the NTCC opens there will be fully automated announcements connected to the signalling system for each train in most stations.
@@EuropeanRailChannelah that’s good to know! Do you know when the NTCC is due to open and if DART services will get announced?
4:31 Please note, that those Gardai are the policemen working in Ireland (but, because of usage of other word than police, "gendarmes" should be more correct word here). FUN FACT: In Ireland, it was suspected, that there was a serious roadhog of polish descent (just like me and my aunt's family, Walenciks, who live there in Ireland, in Westport), which became later popularly known by local policemen as "PRAWO JAZDY" (DRIVING LICENCE). He (or she, gender unknown) was also to be the alleged criminal here. But, later it was turned to be the mistake, which led to the Garda's receive of Ig Nobel Prize in 2009 (which was taken by so-called, of course, "PRAWO JAZDY"). As a result, a common format for driving licences was implemented within EEA for documents issued in 2013 or later.
Thanks i was wondering what gardai meant
Thanks for sharing! That’s interesting to know!

It certainly is!
@@Parallel395nice
Yes it is, this announcement was used at most stations across the country for a very short period of time before disappearing and hasn't been heard in a month or two.
Suburban service to Newry!
They call all the ‘commuter’ services that on the announcements for some reason.
What’s ur next announcement?
