When he caught fire he was Jordan-esque unstoppable, his career stats don't do him justice of how good he was.

If he was in the position Harden was, if he was in a Mike D'Antoni System he'd Average about 35 PPG, Manu's Stats is not bad at all. His Career Stats in per 36 are a solid 20-5-5 in a slowpaced era with a team that prioritizes defense and teamplays. He also should have been the 05 FMVP which was wrongly given to Tim Duncan. In my book Manu is a Top 4 Sg All Time.

Those late 2000s, early 2010s Spurs teams were arguably the weakest of the Big 3 era and still they were really, really good. San Antonio's consistency was almost mind-numbing.
Growing up as a Spurs fan I had to remind myself that it should not be taken for granted. It's crazy how long they were a Top tier team in a tough Western Conference.
...and then to come back in 2013 and 2014 to make back-to-back finals and get another ring, after they had looong be written off...it was the best time I have ever had as a fan.

Manu and Kobe can be in top notch shape for a very long period if time. Hence their careers. Ginobili is just a monster. Even Raja Bell himself said that it might be Manu when asked who was the most difficult to guard, though he said the people expect him to say Kobe. He's made a livin' studying offensive players, but he never figured Manu out.

People always ask me who was hardest to guard,” Raja Bell said. “I say Kobe. That is what people want to hear. But the truth is, it might have been Manu. He’d rev it to fourth gear, get by you, take it back to second gear so you’d run into him, and then he’d make a crazy floater. I made a living studying offensive players. I couldn’t figure him out."

Kobe does tend to make a lot of jumpshot, where is good at, while manu has that eurostep, back steps, and hesitation moves which anyone who plays basketball will admit that is a lot harder to guard. Check both their offensive highlights out.

One of the great things about this era of the Spurs was no matter what your role was, everybody was supportive of you. That's the definition of a team.

It is laughable during these times that dwight howard was talking about his defense, but in this game small but intellectual players knows how to react on his defense.
