Beef Patty Recipe
---------
Ingredients List
-------
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 & 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
100g cold lard
150g cold butter
1 cup cold water
For Beef
----
500g beef
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1-2 tbsp green seasoning
1/2 tsp jerk seasoning for spice (optional)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp gravy browning (optional)
1 small onion (diced)
1 small carrot (chopped)
4 tbsp breadcrumbs
For egg wash use one small egg with 1 tbs water and whisk together.
Bake on 200•C for 20 minutes

I've made your jerk chicken, beans and rice, jerk shrimp with rasta pasta, whole chicken, macaroni and cheese, yams, curry chicken, roti, and, now I'm going to make the beef patties. Hunni, lemme tell ya, you're recipes are, as we say, rockin'. The food is absolutely delicious. I know this time we are in has been difficult for some, but I'm thankful to have gained sooo many recipes, in addition to other blessings😁. I love to cook too but right now im unemployed...i refuse to get fat too...but as soon as i get a job...im back in the kitchen and the gym full force!!! Ill be making those patties to take to work

Thank you for sharing this recipe! After two attempts to get the patty pastry right, this recipe worked the best so far! The only thing I found was I that I needed to add more flour because the 1 cup of liquid was too much.

I tried this Jamaican Beef Patty recipe for the first time and it is solid. Due to the dietary instructions of Deuteronomy 14: and Leviticus 11:, I replaced the lard with solid coconut oil and I omitted the oyster sauce. I posted my results on my Instagram, wordgripaction, and of course I gave you the credit. Thanks for sharing. Me love me some Jamaican Patty and yes I was born in Haiti.
