The reason buildings are painted white and blue is to represent the Blue Economy (Indian Ocean). The concept is also in Kisumu City where the buildings are also in Blue and White to represent the Blue Economy of the Lakeside (Lake Victoria) county
The Arab-Swahili people make great Biryani. Their rice is mixed with the meat and they use dates, nuts and saffron. This is different from the Somali one. The Somali Biryani looks good too but it looks more like a chicken curry with rice. That was not a bad price for the food. About $5 per meal. McDonald's in the US is over $10 per meal and it is awful processed food. The meat burger is small and you get mostly bread. I prefer the Kenyan chips to the American fries. And of course you have to get a sugar drink with you meal here in the US. A small glass of orange juice is almost $5.(ksh 500). They don't have any other juice. Man, I wish I was on the Kenyan coast!!
I'm from Nairobi but every time I visit the Kenyan coast I feel like I've visited an existing new country with our kenyan culture. I love this country. 😊
Mombasa is the oldest town in East Africa. One of the oldest in the whole of Africa also. You'll notice that most buildings are very old and built using very old school architecture. But still beautiful.
Enjoy Kenya my homeland. I love how you style is to tour the local areas and enjoying different vibes on the ground level. Big up man. Furahia Kenya yetu. Mzuri sana
The best restaurants in mainland are Tarboish , Barka , Forodhani but that vlog has passed. If youre in Nyali please go to Charchoma restaurant or Yuls.
Karibu Mombasa. I'm Kenyan living in Stratford, London. Hire a tok tok for a full day ride. And they will take you to so many places within a short time possible. Instead of paying per trip.
Hello guys, kindly subscribe and like the video. Thank you all.
The hello isn’t a signal Mombasa residents are just overly friendly and welcoming
