Respect and agree to most of your choices. I love how you rate everyone listed in a fair way regardless of your Ults. Your explanations for why the Idol or Group ranked was nice. Thanks for the video!
I like your music choices. Its become so popular for Kpop fans to drag or hate on Le Sserafim and I mainly think its just a small group of Knetizens who love one group (not going to name them) and they choose to hate Le Sserafim by default. But no mention of Fifty Fifty? Gravity was amazing!!! Not to mention Starry Night and SOS. They are a small agency group but they deserve the attention for their songs.
I know, I feel like their Coachella performance has left a scar on their name, but people forget how amazing their music is. As for fifty fifty, I haven’t really payed attention to their recent releases, though I will check it out💖
RAP CATEGORY: I pretty much agree, I would have put Hurricane in the first spot just by default, the song is fire. BALLAD SONG: I was kinda expecting tripleS to be mentioned, but I don't know if you know the song, unfortunatly it didn't got promoted really well, but in my opinion is definetly one of the best Ballad songs of this year, for my personal taste is at the first spot, it's called "Door" if you never listen to it, the song is just perfect. UDERRATED RELEASE: I would say Fifty Fifty's new album, every song is incredible, Gravity is a literal masterpiece, and they deserve more attention. FAVE RELEASE: For me it goes this way; 1. tripleS's ASSEMBLE24 2. aespa's ARMAGEDDON 3. tripleS's PERFORMANTE 4. Fifty Fifty's Love Tune 5. Le Sserafim EASY 6. IVE SWITCH. UNDERRATED SONG: For me are; 1. Fifty Fifty - Gravity 2. Rescene - Love Attack 3. IVE - Ice Queen 4. aespa' - Flower 5. tripleS - Choom 6. XG - IYKYK FAVE SONG: 1. tripleS - Girls Never Die 2. NewJeans - Supernatural 3. aespa - Flower 4. Fifty Fifty - Gravity 5. IVE - Accendio 6. BADVILLAIN - Hurricane. SOLO SONG: 1. ROSE' - APT 2. Taeyeon - To.X 3. Winter - Spark 4. LISA - New Woman 5. EUNBI - Sabotage 6. YENA - NemoNemo CHOREOGRAPHY OTY: I mean I won't make a top here because it would be only BADVILLAIN's songs AHAHAHAHAH the skill gap to any onther groups, is just insane in my opinion, that's why they should have been at least nominated at the MAMA for that category, but yeah, popularity will always win anyways lol UNDERRATED GROUP THIS YEAR: Lemme start real quick with 1. Rescene (they deserve WAAAAY moere attention) 2. tripleS 3. BADVILLAIN 4. NMIXX 5. ARTMS 6. FIFTY FIFTY. FAVE GROUP: 1. tripleS 2. aespa 3. BADVILLAIN 4. BABYMONSTER 5. NewJeans 6. NMIXX UNDERRATED IDOL: 1. I agree with Haewon 2. Rora (BABYMONSTER) 3. Chloe (BADVILLAIN) 4. Seoyeon (tripleS) 5. Hyein (NewJeans) 6. Chaeryeong. FAVE IDOL: 1. Hanni (JUST BECAUSE YES). 2. Karina 3. Julie 4. Asa 5. Yooyeon 6. Emma
You have a lot of underrated picks, and I'll definitively check them out. With an emphasis on tripleS, I think a lot of netizens became fans of them because of their Assemble 24 album, and I hope we get something similar in the near future.
@JENNIEfreakinKIM Yep they gained some fans with the Assemble24 album, but it's a really hard group to stan since they have a lot of members, so the majority of people feel overwhelmed by It 🥲
i would argue that newjeans and illit truly have very different concepts. they both are focused on the innocence of youth. newjeans captures it in an energetic and playful way, like a girl-next-door. whereas illit is dreamy, girly and endearing. in terms of styling and choreography newjeans leans more tomboy and illit is cuter and daintier. yeah theyve both worn school uniforms before but thats quite fitting for the age group theyre representing and its nothing new in pop culture in general. if anything, illit could feel more like ive's younger and more energetic daughter. not in their actual style but the feelings they invoke. it also feels like newjeans and illit dont exactly target the same audience, i can see someone whos a newjeans fan not being as into illit's feminine dreamcore aesthetics. im binging your videos and love all of them :) i know you mostly focus on music and overall performance, but ive seen you mention this a couple times and just wanted to share my take and see what you have to say
i agree with many of your choices. I HATED Supernova Love, though, and I believe that IVE needs to rebound with something that hits like their earlier work. Though NMIXX blows me away, I fear that their music is too challenging for the masses. Their Tiny Desk performance was a triumph.
@@johnv4866 Yeah, IVE released a ton of songs this year, but nothing was as impactful as last year. I was kind of disappointed that NMIXX didn’t receive any nominations for any awards this year, but hopefully next year they get their shot😭
4:00 So, these songs aren’t really rap, and I can tell just by how they sound and what the lyrics are like. Take “Hurricane” by Badvillain, for example. It has some rhythmic vocals that kinda remind me of rap, but it also has those catchy melodic hooks that you usually hear in alternative music, so it’s not really a rap song at all. Then there’s “Body” by Meovv, which is way more electronic or pop-focused. It’s all about the melody instead of the fast rhymes you’d expect in rap. Now, “Igloo” by Kiss of Life gives off this indie pop vibe, and the way they sing doesn’t really match up with the usual rhyme schemes or rhythms you find in rap. And “Sickuhh” by Nmixx? It has some hip-hop vibes, but honestly, it feels more like K-pop since the singing and melody take center stage over any rapping. “Pierrot” by Le Sserafim is totally K-pop with a pop sound and no real rap elements at all. Lastly, “Click Clak” by Babymonster might have some hip-hop beats going on, but since the vocals are more melodic than rhythmic, it doesn’t fit into the rap category either. So yeah, even though these tracks have some features that seem kinda rap-like, they don’t really belong to the rap genre.🧍🏿♀️

Not putting Xg Woke up in rap song is a crime😢😢
I adore XG, but they are not K-Pop
the category is for kpop ,you did know that xg is japan pop, not kpop,

no room for Everglow? 😭
I can't include every group in one video, it would be hours long🤣🤣
Maybe someday👀

People sleeping on fifty fifty new releases 🥴
Their sound isn’t as unique with the new members but they do have some good songs.
