The thermometer with the wick is for measuring wet bulb temperature. You compare it to dry bulb temperature and that tells you what the dew point or humidity is.
I have learned from the past that if there is a pawn shop operator or a ( local expert )at these estate sales you won't get any deals on anything !! once I find this out I just drive away .
His prices were high. I hate going to estate sales where they look up everything on eBay and list their stuff for the highest price without even looking at what an item is sold for. If the people at the estate sale, want to take the time and list it and wait for it to sell maybe six months to a year later to get your money back then that’s what they need to do.
Yard sales are not as numerous as they were here a few years ago..I think it is due to the sorry economy we are in at present....and Covid may have been part of it also.
I like that little stove I think that thing was as cool as could be.
