I'm American, and my parents didn't allow any pre-sweetened cereal. You could put one teaspoon of sugar on (cornflakes, raisin bran, or shredded wheat), but the general breakfast was bacon and eggs and toast. My mom was also big on hot cereal: oatmeal, cream of wheat, and grits).
Andrew, Tom’s accent is so nice to listen to, since we don’t hear it regularly here in the USA. You guys both make it enjoyable to watch these videos. Best regards, Steve S.
Tom I know you since 2 weeks ago and i love watching your videos. I’m almost done watching all of them and every time you upload another one i’m refreshing your channel till it’s there. Thank you for making me so happy with your videos! ❤️ X Noah
Tom, how did you and Andrew meet? I’m delighted that you did and it’s obvious that you get along well! Of course you had a small head start on American cereals with Lance I presume.
The cereals are a 90's kid morning breakfast. If you can find it you need to try Kellog's French Toast. It is delicious and mini french toast pieces with a hint of maple syrup. French toast and apple jacks are my favorite.
What a treat, and I don't mean the cereals. Two of my favorite RUclipsrs doing a collab. Off to Andrew's channel for some more. Oh, this was fun BTW. Just as well you don't have that junk in England, Tom.
this collab blessed my day, I have so much love for the both of you, now I really want my self-some American cereal :), hope you both have an amazing day
When I was a child, my sisters and I ate a variety of foods for breakfast: oatmeal; buttered toast with jam or jelly; buttered toast with cinnamon and sugar; peanut-butter toast; leftover pizza; egg custard; French toast when my mother was willing to make it; buttered toast with eggs, sometimes scrambled, sometimes over lightly or sunny side up, again when my mother was willing to make them. When I grew into my teens, my father occasionally made Ralston and Grape Nuts. As an adult, I usually eat Grape Nuts, toast, or bagels. Occasionally My mother wasn't a fan of the sugary childhood cereals. We ate them but not as often as the stereotypical middle-income or low-income child did. She might get Corn Flakes or Wheaties, but we did eat Cap'n. Crunch, Sugar Pops, Apple Jacks, and so forth. Just once in a while.
since Capt'n Crunch was your favorite they also have an all berries version of the cereal now.... but Fruity Pebbles is one of my favs since my childhood.
I live right down the street from were fruity pebbles and other post cereals are made and fall mornings fruity pebble smell thru the air🥰🥰 battle Creek, Michigan
Captain crunch ( also ) = heated up wear with cane sugar , covered in frutose syrup with a side of glucose syrup plus liwuied sugar , and 0.1 % is fruit concentrate
Favourite cereals (wheat intolerant): Cornflakes, rice crispies, oatibix and porridge with raisins (with oat milk and no sugar on any of them). I also like fresh fruit with plain Greek yogurt and a sprinkling of granola. Generally sweet things make me feel sick.
My mom never let us eat anything like these cereals, the closest we got to a sugary cereal was Mini Wheats, which is mostly shredded unsweetened wheat with a hard sugary icing on top. You're brave, I think I'd feel quite ill after eating any of these.
This is what I had when I was growing up here in the states: Apple Jacks, Crunch Berries, Count Chocula, Frosted Flakes, Honey Comb, Cookie Crisps, Trix, Fruit Loops and Cocoa Puffs - loved them all semi soggie in 2% Whole Milk while watching the Bugs Bunny Road Runner show - Deelicious. All of them were way loaded with sugar.
Whoa, two of my RUclips worlds have collided! haha I still can't believe we used to eat this stuff as kids; so glad America is working to adopt healthier eating (Kashi cereal for the win!).
Lol, you knocked my favorite item right of the bat, chocolate covered bacon. What's good though is oatmeal with cocoa powder, coconut flakes, honey for sweetener and crumbled bacon.
most the cereals in the states are not available in Canada either. Same as pop and a ton of candy, and were neighbor's, Canadians cross the boarders all the time just to get some of this stuff and the Americans come to Canada to buy stuff we make here that they dont have.
I’m from Texas, grew up eating these cereals, and MY teeth hurt watching you eat these. There’s a reason why I don’t eat very many sweets or cereals anymore hahaha
What a pleasure to see two of my favourite RUclipsrs together. Matt & Blue & Crow and Mark E Miller and Ethan once went camping together. Very pleasant to see.
Mark and Ethan were great before they moved to California. I liked them better when they were just Indiana guys, they seem to have forgot who they were. Mark tries too hard to be popular and it falls flat and those tattoos, yuck. I've never understood how certain very attractive people will just purposely ruin their looks.
clemsonbloke I’m not a tattoo fan either. But that’s age related in my case. If I were their age I’d be doing it too, no doubt. They can’t be ‘Indiana kids’ anymore because they’re not kids anymore. Sigh. The passage of time is cruel. Cheers.
Sigita J and? Jamie Oliver had a series in the US too (it ran on ABC). It wasn’t as successful as they hoped it would be And He might not be as wildely known as in the UK but also not totally unknown.
My favorite cereal by far is Banana nut crunch from post great grains idk the nutrition in it and its not a popular cereal with kids but its like eating a bowl of banana bread and im obsessed if you ever get a chance try it!
I don't eat my cereal with milk. I also don't eat cereal in the morning because I don't eat breakfast. I think you can't taste the difference between the berries and the other things n cap'n crunch because the milk makes it lose its flavor... maybe? Just a theory. Correct me if I''m wrong.
we have froot loops in Australia and even as a kid i found them so sickly sweet and gross I couldn't eat them. the fact that most American cereals are like that blows my mind. like I think my parents bought sweet cereals like once a year for a special treat, I can't imagine eating that every morning!
Love it. I always prefer to let the cereal sit for a bit so it gets a little softer in the milk and doesn't hurt the roof of my mouth as much. And, as others have mentioned, a real travesty that you did not include Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cocoa Krispies or Cocoa Puffs. Other icons - Golden Grahams, Golden Crisp, and Reese's Puffs. Oh, the nostalgia.
When I was a kid back in the 70s "Cap'n Crunch Berries" had only one flavor berry.....strawberry and they def. did taste different from the cereal. I bet there's a LOT more sugar in them now. Favorite cereal as a kid....QUISP
i've seen a few of these cereal reviews but none of them ever mentioned Grape Nuts, i would not say they are a kid's cereal but i was introduced to them as a child by my grandfather and enjoyed them ever since, then again i might be just weird
Love you, Andrew. I loved Captain Crunch, Apple Jacks (think flavored Cheerios), and Cocoa Puffs. What is it with milk and people under 30, who think it is a bowl of sugar? We (over 40) were told 2 glasses a day for health - but that was 2%.
I like to take my "adult" all bran cereal and put a little bit of captain crunch on top, mostly to add texture and a bit of sweetness. But it's too sweet for me to eat on it's own anymore.
Thanks guys, this was great fun. It reminded me that Bill Maher once read the ingredients of Froot Loops on his show and pointed out that A) That's not how you spell "fruit" and, B) there's no fruit in it, only several food colorings. Bill's conclusion? "So, Froot Loops are just gay Cheerios." 🦄
That is part of the reason why I lost weight. I gave up breakfast cereals. When I learned about them a long time ago and realized most of them are nothing pit pure sugar, I let them go. I recognize all the cereal brands. I wonder what they would think of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cookie Crisp.
As an American kid, I've never eaten any of these cold sugar cereals. They were know for causing Dental Cavities. We ate unsweetened cold cereals like Shredded Wheat, Corn Flakes, and puffed wheat and rice, while hot cereals were Oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. And we still have all our teeth.
I am from the US but I did try many of those and would give them all a much lower score than Mr. Daley because of the high sugar content. I grew up on Grapenuts, corn flakes, Nutrigrain, oatmeal NO SALT and if I wanted these sweet I would put a LITTLE sugar on them.
I love Cap'n Crunch but just the plain kind. You can only eat them about every three days because it makes the top of your mouth feel like its been through a meat shredder.
I adore how Tom mention Lance almost in every video even if he not there 💖
me too
Sigita J thats love
Same
trying to make up for his infidelity
MrBlueeyes333 that was a rumour
Andrews biceps though...
MD yesss, I know!!!!
Yaaaaaasssss I don't wanna sound like ... Odd or a pervert but those were the only sweets that called my attention hahaha. 😂😎
David Larrea P25 oh your not at all or have you seen him shirtless?🤤🤤🤤
YES but Please don't make bigger .It is enough I think .
I have a local ice cream shop that mixed Cap'n Crunch in with almond milk ice cream. It's so darn good. Yummy!
If we ate cereal, it was "Kelloges Corn Flakes". During the winter months, here in Michigan, it was hot Oatmeal, with brown sugar.
My mother once made syrup from rose hips, and we used that to flavour our porridge.
"I'd rather have the three bears" - ROFLMAO Killer throwaway line.

I've been following you and Andrew for months! So happy you two did a video together!!!
Their other video's not for here :-)))
Tom, how did you and Andrew meet? I’m delighted that you did and it’s obvious that you get along well!
Of course you had a small head start on American cereals with Lance I presume.
This has just made me really want cereal now haha
Alexandra and Shenade same 😂
You forgot Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cookie Crisp!!!
and Cocoa Pebbles instead of just all fruit cereal!
In the UK you can literally go to Iceland for Cookie Crisp and Cinnamon toast was here, haven't seen it for a while, though.
Coco pebbles are Coco nuts or chocolate rice crispiest
Does the UK have Cocoa Puffs? I used to love those too.
D S we have them but they are called Coco Pops
Hi Tom I started diving bc of u and u inspired me so much
You 100% picked traditional American cereals. Every kid has had these cereals and/or knew about these cereals. Loved this video!!
The cereals are a 90's kid morning breakfast. If you can find it you need to try Kellog's French Toast. It is delicious and mini french toast pieces with a hint of maple syrup. French toast and apple jacks are my favorite.
They should be arrested for stealing all the beauty in the world.
i don't think Tom knows any ugly people. lol
We have a maize meal porridge in South Africa. We also have a porridge made of sorgun wheat we call it maltabella... now that is good.
What a treat, and I don't mean the cereals. Two of my favorite RUclipsrs doing a collab. Off to Andrew's channel for some more. Oh, this was fun BTW. Just as well you don't have that junk in England, Tom.
this collab blessed my day, I have so much love for the both of you, now I really want my self-some American cereal :), hope you both have an amazing day
Tom and Andrew.... the collab I didn't know I needed =)
Two of my favorites!!!

Glad you guys did a video together and I hope there will be more. I only ate Cheerios and Oatmeal as a kid.
Captain crunch ( also ) = heated up wear with cane sugar , covered in frutose syrup with a side of glucose syrup plus liwuied sugar , and 0.1 % is fruit concentrate
1:10 in and I feel like commenting that yellow box capn crunch is also my favorite
How Tom's face blushes when he asks Andrew if he was going to call him a Fruit Loop is the cutest thing I ever seen in my entire life
Two of my favorite RUclipsrs in one video. You both made my day.
I love that Tom’s mentioned Jamie Oliver and turkey twizzlers as a fellow 90’s baby
My mom never let us eat anything like these cereals, the closest we got to a sugary cereal was Mini Wheats, which is mostly shredded unsweetened wheat with a hard sugary icing on top. You're brave, I think I'd feel quite ill after eating any of these.
Erin Allen My go to was frosted flakes, shredded wheat, and cheerios.
This is what I had
when I was growing up here in the states: Apple Jacks, Crunch

Trix, Fruit Loops and Cocoa Puffs - loved them all semi soggie in

Deelicious. All of them were way loaded with sugar.
i had a bad day and this video really brightened up my day so much. thank you tom and andrew!
My favorite cereal choices in order
#1 Cap'n Crunch peanut butter crunch
#2 Cap'n Crunch (original)
#3 Cheerios Honey Nut Cheerios
#4 Sugar Frosted Flakes
#5 Cheerios (original)
Whoa, two of my RUclips worlds have collided! haha I still can't believe we used to eat this stuff as kids; so glad America is working to adopt healthier eating (Kashi cereal for the win!).
Lol, you knocked my favorite item right of the bat, chocolate covered bacon. What's good though is oatmeal with cocoa powder, coconut flakes, honey for sweetener and crumbled bacon.
Oh my gosh I love you both! I’m excited to watch both videos.
And some of us would rather just have three bears. Was not expecting that and almost choked on my breakfast!
most the cereals in the states are not available in Canada either. Same as pop and a ton of candy, and were neighbor's, Canadians cross the boarders all the time just to get some of this stuff and the Americans come to Canada to buy stuff we make here that they dont have.
I ate Cinnamon Toast Crunch while watching this 😊💕
I’m from Texas, grew up eating these cereals, and MY teeth hurt watching you eat these. There’s a reason why I don’t eat very many sweets or cereals anymore hahaha
Grew up in different places, but I ate the same way you do. Cereals were for fun once on a while.
Tom love you ! your such an inspiration I’m trying to get into diving and your helping so much
Love them both 😍💖
How can you treat an Olympian to American cereals and not include Wheaties, the Breakfast of Champions?
It’s because they only did crappy kids’ cereals. You didn’t see Shredded Wheat or Grape Nuts either, did you?
What a pleasure to see two of my favourite RUclipsrs together. Matt & Blue & Crow and Mark E Miller and Ethan once went camping together. Very pleasant to see.

LOOK AT THOSE ARMS ON ANDREW. NICE
Why doesnt he know who Jamie Oliver is ??? whuuuut
he from Denver.
hes American Jamie isn't that well known over there they have their own celebrity chefs
Sigita J and? Jamie Oliver had a series in the US too (it ran on ABC). It wasn’t as successful as they hoped it would be
And He might not be as wildely known as in the UK but also not totally unknown.
Did i say he unknow? and not everyone know Jamie Oliver if you not interested in cooking.
Wow Jamie Oliver's plan to take over the world has not worked. haha
I love andrew! Been following him since the beginning!
you eating and I hungry Lol. They should share a little. I think cereals and you two are the perfect combination, Andrew is so handsome and tom too.
My favorite cereal by far is Banana nut crunch from post great grains idk the nutrition in it and its not a popular cereal with kids but its like eating a bowl of banana bread and im obsessed if you ever get a chance try it!
omg fruity pebbles are the best 🤧💗
I don't eat my cereal with milk. I also don't eat cereal in the morning because I don't eat breakfast. I think you can't taste the difference between the berries and the other things n cap'n crunch because the milk makes it lose its flavor... maybe? Just a theory. Correct me if I''m wrong.

Fruit loops are probably my fav of the ones you tried. But my absolute favorites are kix or cocoa krispies
I’m static that you guys collaborated, you guys are my favorites.
I do like fruity pebbles, but I'd say frosted flakes and life cereal are my top 2 favorites.
You are hilarious! I enjoyed how you needed to close the milk lid!!! Agreed and fantastic!
I genuinely love all of these cereals. Anyone else?
Love Toms reactions on the sugar and cerals. Andrews reactions to it is LOL.❤
We mostly had Cheerio's or Corn Flakes when I was a kid. Though Shredded Wheat was pretty good.
So funny seeing the two of them together 😊 Just for me though, oatmeal is just one kind of porridge.
When I was a kid back in the 70s "Cap'n Crunch Berries" had only one flavor berry.....strawberry and they def. did taste different from the cereal. I bet there's a LOT more sugar in them now. Favorite cereal as a kid....QUISP
I don't think I've eaten these cereals since I was 12. Just so cloyingly sweet.
Love the team up with Andrew!!!!
I loved Reese’s Cereal and Cinnamon Toast Crunch…Kicks we’re good too.
Andrew's gun show was ….. Wow!
i've seen a few of these cereal reviews but none of them ever mentioned Grape Nuts, i would not say they are a kid's cereal but i was introduced to them as a child by my grandfather and enjoyed them ever since, then again i might be just weird
Great video as always... love you both!!
I’m super picky so I don’t usually eat breakfast. I know it’s not healthy at all but I feel sick if I eat in the morning.
Polly. 2a2 same, and I also don’t have any appetite in the morning
Same here.
I wait to eat for about 2-3 hours and I just eat something light, I’m picky too.
Polly. 2a2 I am the same way....If I eat too early in the morning I will throw up.
Ditto
Love you, Andrew. I loved Captain Crunch, Apple Jacks (think flavored Cheerios), and Cocoa Puffs. What is it with milk and people under 30, who think it is a bowl of sugar? We (over 40) were told 2 glasses a day for health - but that was 2%.

Corn flakes with one tablespoon of sugar and a cup of full proof of your fancy will allow you a fine day. Lance would like that for his writing.
7-11 had a Crunch Berries Slurpee, and it reminded me of my childhood ❤️❤️
13:40 sooooooo true
As an American kid, I've never eaten any of these cold sugar cereals. They were know for causing Dental Cavities. We ate unsweetened cold cereals like Shredded Wheat, Corn Flakes, and puffed wheat and rice, while hot cereals were Oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. And we still have all our teeth.
"The commercials are terrible but makes you want to eat this cereal."
That sentence was the most American thing in this video 😂😂😂😂
Was that Tom blushing at 8:18 after he spilled the Pops 😂😊
Love you guys. Cap'n crunch is my favorite as well
I’m going to America in a week 😃💖
Amelia X Have fun! Love from Albuquerque, New Mexico USA
Frosted Flakes! YUMMM!!!
Tom, I think it would be great to show us what UK candy and cereal you eat growing up.
When you see the 2 biggest crushes of your life together
I've never had any of these :( My mom didn't allow sugary cereals when I was growing up.
Don't ever try them - you'll love at least one of them so much that you'll never be able to stop.
Try Australian cereal! The nutri-grain is da best!!! I have it like nearly every morning before swim practice
I like the emergency vehicles wailing outside thru this important survey...
Mostly kid's eat those. I'm a Cheerios/ shredded wheat person. Actually eggs army favorite breakfast.
Corn pops are sooooo good. Welcome to American life Tom!
I absolutely LOVE this collab!!! 😍🤩😍🤩
I was a Frankenberry kid....it'd be crazy nostalgic to have a bowl now...kinda lost my sweet tooth 😫
Corn Pops and Fruity Pebbles and Apple Jacks were my child hood,,, if I were to get those now they’re still be gone in a week I eat so much cereal
I love Cap'n Crunch but just the plain kind. You can only eat them about every three days because it makes the top of your mouth feel like its been through a meat shredder.
Here in Venezuela. We use to have fruit loops! I love them! But yeah capn chrush probably is better
