I think this is the pinnacle of inline 4s because her engine has the shortest stroke for that maximum 81mm bore that is allowed in racing so short stroke means high rpm, more top end power, and more sound, but unfortunately the blade does not have the highest compression ratio, at least your gen, the new one that they upgraded has the highest for an inline 4 sbk, but i think it's more restricted for emissions so it makes the same power, but the higher the compression the better it will run on flex fuels

R1M is one of my favorite bike that i will get in the future, looks wise and everything on that bike is on point, and there is something about that crossplane engine just, but i think i will get the Honda first then Yamaha. Love your fireblade, keep roken, and hope we will hit the mill before Christmas...
My next bike for sure. I love my 23 zx6r krt but i will probably trade it towards this. If i can afford it i will keep both. Both are beautiful and fun bikes.
If you wanted, you could go carbon fiber rims in a Gold finish. Gold rims on a FireBlade does it for me. I would give it the extra point BECAUSE it came with cast rims, I believe it may play a partial role in keeping the bike planted and stable I have always loved the CBR from the Gen 1 right up until the current RRR SP
Interesting to see how and why you rate these bikes, we definatly differ on some of our ratings, especially with the RSV4 (I think a big part is your RSV4 being older). Looking forward to seeing a couple of your bikes that I don't have experiance with, keep it up!
@Nick-Edwards he said he rode one and didn't notice much difference, but I notice a pretty big difference when changing to some of the softer suspension settings, and as long as the chain isn't too loose, the shifts are pretty crisp with the auto blipper. Sure, it doesn't have heated grips, but especially with the extra options, the RSV4 has all the tech bells and whistles I could want both on and off track.... it was nice seeing his perspective though, I just wish the scoring was a little more varied, at this rate all the bikes will score within a few points of eachother 😕

I don't know if that's true as a general statement, I own 2 of the 3 bikes he's reviewed so far, been riding for 35 years, worked at a dealership that lets us take bikes home, and still have a personal garage with just as many or more bikes than his (just not ALL sportbikes).... Not every follower of ImKay is a new rider, not everyone with a bike vlogs, and you don't need to agree with someones opinion to respect it.
at the end of the season I sold my zx6r and bought a cbr1000rr. While I was at the dealership I sat on a rr-r and was in shock of how high the rear sets are on them. I think I would try to keep them on but they would get brutal on those 2+ hour rides with your boys.
I sat on the 1000rr and as a 6'2 guy I felt so tucked that anything over 30min would be terrible. But man was it light, I'd definitely need to adjust the rear set but am considering adding this to my stable

@@imKay ya i know but i mentioned it because you do like more carbon parts in your bikes and fireblade is one of the hardest bike to find parts (as you mentioned in your previous videos) and i just remembered you also told the fireblade is one of hardest bike to buy in u.s.🥲😅

i cannot get over how good it sounds when idling after a cold start. Honestly 9.8/10, only the rsv4 and the r1m is a 10/10 at idle

Yeah I completely agree. He needs to either ride or buy a new one. I’ve never ridden a bike with the V4 platform but that RSV4 sounds so mean.

I just bought a 2023 Fireblade SP. I thought the rider triangle would be terrible but since I'm only 5'6" the bike felt like it was made for me.
