2 Hours Walking in Tehran, Iran

  • In this video, we take a 2-hour walking tour of Tehran on a weekday. The neighborhoods we pass through are mostly crowded areas in the city center, such as Valiasr Square, Keshavarz Boulevard, Vesal Shirazi Street, Enghelab Square, Hafez Bridge, Jomhuri Street, and Istanbul Square.
    In this video, you can see what it's like to walk through these neighborhoods. Most people who live in Tehran are familiar with these neighborhoods.
    We start at Valiasr Square, where we have a separate video. You can watch that video on our channel.
    After that, we go to Enghelab Square, which is famous for its bookstores. We can say that Enghelab Square is located exactly in the center of Tehran. If you look at the map, you will realize that Enghelab Square is exactly like the heart of Tehran. Another reason why Enghelab Square has so many bookstores is that the University of Tehran is located near this square. The University of Tehran is one of the most prominent universities in Tehran and Iran, and most popular movements have started from the students of this university. It has played a major role in Iran's recent history.
    After Enghelab, we go to Hafez Bridge and Jomhuri Street, which are the center of mobile phone shopping. Finally, we go to Istanbul Square. Along the way, we see the musical instrument shops of Tehran, and at Istanbul Square, we arrive at the Plasco building. Plasco building is the center of Iranian clothing production, which collapsed 5 years ago and was rebuilt, and was very controversial.
    I hope you enjoy watching this video. If you would like a specific place in Tehran to be filmed, please let me know in the comments.

    I was born in Hamadan but my family moved to Germany when khamenei took over the country, I was only 9 months old so I don’t remember anything from Iran sadly. I love your videos and I have so much love and compassion for my Iranian brothers and sisters. 💚🤍❤️

      It's obvious you are ill informed. There was a revolution which led to a change in the country's political system. Of course there are people who are not happy with that but to say khomeini took over the country just shows your ignorance.

    I always wanted to visit Iran but first the Covid Pandemic and now the middle east situation put me off of going there. And It's a pity because the country looks like very friendly with visitors. I hope the middle east situation can improve soon and I could be walking Tehran in not far away time 🙌

    Good video, good explanation, thankyou for your time . Iran changed, or changing to a modern country, bigger cities, Specially Tehran is becoming like western world style, the new ' Iran Mall " is so big and modern ,Iran is getting nicer and way more populated. The Tehran subway is way more cleaner then many other subway in the world. Anyway i walked with you from daylight until night time, and was a good walk, saw that part of Tehran again, how come you didn't stop have something to eat, nothing is like Persian food ?, maybe you did, and didn't film it ! .

    Question: When are women allowed NOT to wear a scarf/hijab and when do they have to?
    In the video I see women sometimes covering their hair and sometimes not. I thought the Iran Regime is very strict.

    • @sepehrjc2581
      @sepehrjc2581 20 дней назад

      You have to wear a hijab in public.
      And in your house you don't have to unless a male stranger is in your house.
      The government is weak and can't enforce the law.

    Only Chinese cars imported? I remember trekking around South America seeing lots of cars and buses and trucks which had their first life in Japan or Korea. They still had the characters written on them. Used Japanese KEI (small size) Trucks and cars are imported in small quantity to USA because there is a law something like if it is > 25 years old you can import it. Must be weird walking around a city and not smelling Marijuana or periodically coming across a dead OD'd person like I've seen in San Francisco.

    58:19 Let me clarify it for you. The hijab is mandatory, it is a law and it is enforced. Mahsa Amini and many girls like her died because of the enforcement of this law. The Islamic Republic however has lost its grip on people and there is nothing they can do to regain that control. The cat is out of the bag, and many in the law enforcement have shown to be reluctantly doing their "job" as you just saw with that officer.
