I'm with Julian, spitting is disgusting. and I see it as an expression of disdain for your situation. as I've traveled around Europe I've observed how the locals treat their home. the best are the Finnish. and it's disgusting to see Russians come across the border and 'gob' in the street like they do at home. let's face it, the Far East Baltic is not a happy place to live.
