Last year, my smart watch indicated more than 600Kcal consumption after a show in Budokan 😄 (even without mosh pit in the all-seater arena). Don't worry, however, you can enjoy BM show at the venue just shouting and pumping your arm. In an interview, Moa said she and Su were continuing hard physical training like first-class athletes even in the inactive COVID period . That is why they could perform flawlessly 90-minutes almost non-stop shows in 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts last year.

Great reaction. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek I've ever heard. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre popular in regional festivals and used specifically to frighten children ... which amuses me probably more than it should). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance. This was a compilation video with clips from 10 different concerts from 2013 through to 2017. There is a video from the live performance at Budokan , Black Night 2014 that has subtitles if you want to watch that as well. The Kami Band were just doing one of their intros - its only fair they get their chance to show off during the shows and there are two or three other songs where they would do an instrumental intro like this. In order of solos in this video they were - Mikio Fujioka (RIP January 2018), Takayoshi Ohmura, BOH on the bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

That compilation video had footage from 10 different concerts (2013-2016), with audio from the Wembley Arena (April 2nd, 2016) and Tokyo Dome Red Night (September 19th, 2016). Of course BABYMETAL are so in sync, that it makes it easier than it might otherwise be to combine footage from different concerts.
Babymetal just dropped a new single Devine Attack-Shingeki and it's pretty epic!! It's the first single to their upcoming 4th Album The Other One which releases on March 24, 2023. I believe they will be joining Sabaton on his tour in April. Which I suspect we may hear future world tour announcements or I would hope at least. Good to see earlier reactions to older songs though as gives some perspective between then & now. 🤘💕🦊

It’s cool to see how you are 100% immersed when you watch those videos. The choreography of this song is pretty cool, especially if you are familiar with the lyrics about a game of Hide&Seek within Oni (a Japanese mythic Ogre / Demon creature).
It's great to see your enthusiasm for BM. This is a compilation video, but the audio comes from a live Wembley concert because Ohmura (pink guitar) throws in a bit of Herbert Parry's Jerusalem. We get a great Kami Band intro highlighting each member and then the fun kicks into high gear with the arrival of BM. "Catch Me If You Can" is about a Japanese playground game where the tagger is called the "oni-san" and asks if the kids are ready and Yui and Moa answer "no not yet". Oni are Japanese ogres or trolls that are sometimes used to scare young children into being good. Another interesting cultural reference in the lyrics is to it being dangerous "to go out in red shoes" which refers to a Japanese children's poem where a young girl wearing red shoes is taken away from her parents by foreigners. It was written in the early 20th century and probably expresses fear of the outsider and strangers. Part of what I enjoy about BM is discovering the cultural references...I think they have taught a lot of people a lot about Japan.

Yeah that was kinda mild compared to first time I saw them do this song but I saw the one with the giant Buddha in the background and was even more kick butt than this performance, then I was adding every album and single to my library and still to this day look for more new stuff they put out. Jimmy Page was into them also BTW lol

You definitely need to do rondo of nightmare, yava, and awadama fever. They also have kami band intros. Plus you should check out the other videos of this song, diffirent ones have different intros depending on which band member did the show and they're all amazing(that goes for a lot of songs lol)
Nice reaction. This was great fun to watch. So far during Babymetal concerts they have given the Kamiband intros like this. Where they get to showcase their talents. Boh is great fun to watch not only during the solos but also when you can see him during the songs as well. He's very into the songs. You can catch him jumping and dancing especially during music festivals. The first guitar solo was by Mikkio who tragically passed away shortly after Su-metals 20th birthday. Now back to the happier stuff. Audience participation is a must at a Babymetal concert. All part of the show and making a connection with the band and the crowd around you. It is extra cool when you're at a show and the audience sings the lines together. Here it helps the part of the job that Yui and Moa have is to lead the audience. This was hard for them when they came west. Where the fans usually sing the lead. With Babymetal you sing the response to the lead. Call and response Kawaii Metal version. It's built into their songs so it's not just a part when the lead sings out to the crowd to follow her. This makes even more special when Su does call out for the crowd to sing. Babymetal just does things different. Those differences are part of the fun of their live concerts. Also, part of what is fresh and new about them. Not just the same ole same ole. I dont know what the hell is up with this song, at first i thought it was just because of this specific live version but i tryed listening to studio version and every other live version of it, and as soon as the freaking refren drops i start to cry...so much energy happines adrenalin, all of these things hits u at once. Its just so overwhelming, way to powerful. I let it mellow few days turned it on at work and again smiling and crying i couldnt fucking talk to customers hahaha xD

I'm Japanese . They are not minor talent in Japan . they belong to Amuse( Amuse is the biggest entertainment company in Japan) and work for Amuse when a child as child stars (acting for TV. Movies. etc) The three girls style (concept) is that Su-Metal (the lead singer of Babymetal) is accompanied by two angels. In fact , the two girls acted an angel in Japanese CM for Japanese the biggest telephone company with Ichiro who was famous Major league baseball player .

Sorry to sound like a broken record but I've been trying to reach you about re-uploading your original Karate music video reaction which you had blocking issues with. It is nice reaction! CMIYC is a song that quotes Japanese nursery rhymes and hide-and-seek games to Metal and nobody did it, which actually works surprisingly well together as a Metal theme. It’s cool to see how you are 100% immersed when you watch those videos. The choreography of this song is pretty cool, especially if you are familiar with the lyrics about a game of Hide&Seek within Oni (a Japanese mythic Ogre / Demon creature).

It's great to see your enthusiasm for BM. This is a compilation video, but the audio comes from a live Wembley concert because Ohmura (pink guitar) throws in a bit of Herbert Parry's Jerusalem. We get a great Kami Band intro highlighting each member and then the fun kicks into high gear with the arrival of BM.
"Catch Me If You Can" is about a Japanese playground game where the tagger is called the "oni-san" and asks if the kids are ready and Yui and Moa answer "no not yet". Oni are Japanese ogres or trolls that are sometimes used to scare young children into being good. Another interesting cultural reference in the lyrics is to it being dangerous "to go out in red shoes" which refers to a Japanese children's poem where a young girl wearing red shoes is taken away from her parents by foreigners. It was written in the early 20th century and probably expresses fear of the outsider and strangers. Part of what I enjoy about BM is discovering the cultural references...I think they have taught a lot of people a lot about Japan.
And here I thought, because of movies and games, that Oni were lesser demons.

So glad you enjoyed this one since "Catch me if you can" was my very first BABYMETAL song and It blew my mind and got me hooked from the first time.
This is probably one of their heaviest songs and it also has one of their cutest choreos, including my favorite movement: the infamous "Moa slide".

Yeah that was kinda mild compared to first time I saw them do this song but I saw the one with the giant Buddha in the background and was even more kick butt than this performance, then I was adding every album and single to my library and still to this day look for more new stuff they put out. Nice reaction. This was great fun to watch. So far during Babymetal concerts they have given the Kamiband intros like this. Where they get to showcase their talents. Boh is great fun to watch not only during the solos but also when you can see him during the songs as well. He's very into the songs. You can catch him jumping and dancing especially during music festivals. The first guitar solo was by Mikkio who tragically passed away shortly after Su-metals 20th birthday. Now back to the happier stuff. Audience participation is a must at a Babymetal concert. All part of the show and making a connection with the band and the crowd around you. It is extra cool when you're at a show and the audience sings the lines together. Here it helps the part of the job that Yui and Moa have is to lead the audience. This was hard for them when they came west. Where the fans usually sing the lead. With Babymetal you sing the response to the lead. Call and response Kawaii Metal version. It's built into their songs so it's not just a part when the lead sings out to the crowd to follow her. This makes even more special when Su does call out for the crowd to sing. Babymetal just does things different. Those differences are part of the fun of their live concerts. Also, part of what is fresh and new about them. Not just the same ole same ole. Check out their song Awadama Fever. It's more Babymetal singing a metal song subject that other bands usually just can't do. Enjoy the ride through the Babymetal galaxy of music.

I dont know what the hell is up with this song, at first i thought it was just because of this specific live version but i tryed listening to studio version and every other live version of it, and as soon as the freaking refren drops i start to cry...so much energy happines adrenalin, all of these things hits u at once. Its just so overwhelming, way to powerful. I let it mellow few days turned it on at work and again smiling and crying i couldnt fucking talk to customers hahaha xD

They are not minor talent in Japan . they belong to Amuse( Amuse is the biggest entertainment company in Japan) and work for Amuse when a child as child stars (acting for TV. Movies. etc)
The three girls style (concept) is that Su-Metal (the lead singer of Babymetal) is accompanied by two angels. In fact , the two girls acted an angel in Japanese CM for Japanese the biggest telephone company with Ichiro who was famous Major league baseball player .

Sorry to sound like a broken record but I've been trying to reach you about re-uploading your original Karate music video reaction which you had blocking issues with. I outlined how to get around the block in previous comments and even in Alex's Karate reaction using the simple method of a semi-transparent watermark placed over the embedded video.
I keep mentioning it because it's super easy to do (we've walked many reactors through this and I even linked an example of a reactor that used it for their Karate MV reaction) and you will eventually need to do this in order to watch the really, really good stuff that BABYMETAL has to offer. Certainly there's plenty of BABYMETAL content on RUclips you can still react to safely, but we want you to check out the best possible!
Your original Karate MV reaction would be the best test of this because you've already recorded the reaction and it's just sitting there unseen! You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. It is nice reaction! CMIYC is a song that quotes Japanese nursery rhymes and hide-and-seek games to Metal and nobody did it, which actually works surprisingly well together as a Metal theme.
