Please please please take your time through the PNW! It is an amazing world unto its own ❤ You are here at the very best time of the year, July and August. Some of us like to think that God rewards us with amazing beauty for putting up with so dang much rain all fall, winter, and spring!
Cordy and Kelly if Kelly is a sun shine girl so Cordy is a tree's and bushes, grass man Cordy be careful going in to the cave there maybe bates inside and the dinner dish that Kelly made is it in the cook book take care happy camping
Be careful along the Oregon Coast, always check behind you near the water, they gave ‘sleeper waves’ sorry can’t remember real name but it will grab you and take you away. Truly beautiful coast though!
See Cape Kiwanda, Depot bay, Newport , South beach, Sunset bay, and so much more. Tilamook cheese factory... you should stay on Oregon coast for at least a month, so much to see...Welcome to Oregon!
On the rocks, it looked like Limpits to me. However, I didn't get to see them up close. Limpets are members of the class Gastropoda, but are polyphyletic, meaning the various groups called "limpets" descended independently from different ancestral gastropods. If you boil them, or sauteed them, you can eat them. They are a bit chewey. Cody, you are like a little kid on a personal exploration. Don't ever loose that excitement.
I lived in Bandon for 7 years in the 90’s. All the campgrounds on the Oregon Coast are beautiful. I might still live there if it didn’t rain 100” a year. I walked that beach almost everyday. Collected the white rocks, sand dollars and shells. Those are all my old haunts. Thanks for the memories.
I grew up in North Bend. It's not too far from Bandon. Oregon has beautiful beaches. My parents house sat right near the bay, At night I would open my bedroom window so i could hear the fog horns and the waves in the channel. It would lull me to sleep.
You guys should check out Cape Lookout State Park campground! It's beautiful, with beach access and the showers are amazing! We did a tour video. Enjoy the PNW!
I'm so glad you guys are checking out the west coast. Oregon is beautiful. Come a few hundred miles further north and you are at my location at Vancouver BC Canada.
Aww - I like that you showed us the bunny - love seeing the wildlife. Love that campground! Thanks for sharing that too - We like to see because we might want to stay there. That cave was super cool! We were supposed to do the Oregon coast this year so now I see what I'm missing. Flowers were so pretty at Sweet Peas!
I remember my first trip to the Oregon coast when we moved to Eugene from the Midwest. I was in heaven. It was and is my favorite place. You'll have to head up to Tillamook and check out the creamery since you like their ice cream!
Wow!!! That was beautiful! I know it is going to be great when Cody says it is the greatest day in his life!!! 😊 Can't wait til the next video! Have fun!!! ❤
I've lived in the PNW in Washington for 20 years, and it's been amazing with all the beauty I've seen and had a chance to enjoy. Like someone else said, take your time enjoying the PNW. God's beauty is everywhere. If you get to Tillamook, Oregon, you may want to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It's so amazing, really good and more busy than I've seen it in over 15 years. You may want to check if there are some days less busy than others if you want to check it out. You can buy ice cream in the factory and different cheeses in their shop.
I am from Arkansas and while serving in the US Navy, we stopped overnight in Astoria, Oregon before heading up the Columbia River to Portland (I was stationed on a Frigate, a smaller ship). Astoria was an amazing small town and the people were so friendly it reminded me of home. Don't know what your travel plans are but that is a highly recommended stop in my opinion.
Absolutely one of my favorite from you guys. Thank you so much for taking us with you, this is something we probably could never do in our lifetime. When Kody went into that cave and seeing all the sea life in all the cracks & crevices I literally teared up, what an amazing beautiful place. As always, safe travels & may God Bless ya both☮️💚✝️🌵
Beautiful "Bandon By The Sea." Great little town, good food, great coffee. I've lived within 1/2 to 1 hour of the Oregon coast for 65 yrs ... I love the coast. Down around the Florence, OR (still on the coast a little north of Bandon) area there is a CRAZY good restaurant ... Hukilau, Pacific fusion, seafood, sushi, burgers & tacos alongside cocktails. You've GOT to give it a try if you are there ... also, South Beach Fish Market just a mile south of Newport is an awesome place to get lunch .... it looks "sketchy," but it's really popular and I've never had bad food there --- try the "salmon candy" as a little appetizer treat. You order, wait at picnic tables outside for your food. We go into the attached minimart and buy a bottle of wine and then open that up when our food is ready and eat on the picnic tables.
whats nice is seeing new people at the ocean. somthing i take for granted injoy. Two hour drive for me in wa. 5 hr were your at. just keeps me injoying it every time i go.
Loving the videos from this area! I am currently in the PNW region myself. So nice being away from the Texas heat. Heading into goat rocks wilderness in Washington later today to start a backpacking trip. Then Sunday visiting Astoria to see the Oregon coast. The footage of the beach and sea life in this video was truly unique and amazing. I can't wait to experience it. Enjoy your time adventuring here! this part of the country is an adventurers dream! See yall on the trail. ✌️
I love the Oregon coast. Cody, your rock exploration was so cool. The marine life is so colorful and interesting. While we were on one of the beaches in Oregon, my son found a sand dollar that is smaller in diameter than a dime. That sand art was so cool. Our son lives near San Francisco, so we have seen the marine layer many times. It's an amazing sight. Kellie, risotto is one of my go-to dishes while camping because you can put in what ever you have on hand. I know, for the 2 of us, 1 cup of rice and 3 cups of broth is my base. Also, I buy small one serving boxes of white wine and keep them on hand for making it. Then I don't have a whole bottle open that I have to try and fit in my camper fridge. Kellie, you had a pretty impressive sous chef 😊. Your meal looked amazing! Can't wait to see more adventures. Happy camping😊.
This vlog was one of my favorites. Loved seeing Cody’s delight at the sea cave and tide pools. Now I really want to check out the Oregon Coast! Those little creatures are so amazing! Keep up the great adventures and thank you for what you create!
I love watching your excitement while discovering the coast. I had the same reaction when I moved from the East Coast. Take your time it’s truly amazing here. ❤
As a transplant Oregonian, this Longview, TX boy sincerely enjoys seeing you guys explore Oregon for the first time. Maybe we run into each other in our explorations! You guys should check out Short Sands beach. Neahkahnie is a great hike as well.
Before you thought they were oysters, they were a clump of mussels. At 8:35 those are barnacles from what I am seeing, they maybe small oysters or clams.
I have been wanting to visit Oregon and Washington for some time now in this video definitely just sealed the deal next big destination for sure❤❤❤thanks for sharing these sweet spots!!!
Another great video, folks! The colors of those anemones and other sea life was really beautiful! Thank you for sharing! You know you are a good cook #41: When you can bring a tear to the eye of your husband. I saw that Cody! Ya got a little choked up!😉
We stayed in Bandon back in September ‘22. We hiked the Bandon dunes. The beach walk and horse back riding on the beach was a dream. Good food is all over that town.
We stayed at that State Park about 8 years ago. It was cloudy but nice. No rain. The only ticks our Last Dog ever got were from the Oregon Coast. I think when Jack walked him back into some thicker bushes he picked them up.
Yay! It made me so happy to see you enjoying the coast and especially Bandon Beach! So beautiful and a great little town. I did a vacation rental house for 3 days there years ago on one of my OR coast trips. I hope, hope, hope you stop in Manzanita. My most favorite town on the coast! I'm glad you are getting some cool salt air. Thanks for the great shots of the cave and sea creatures Cody. Thanks for the awesome dinner Kelley!
If I am correct Cody, the girls in the audience probably want you to do your yoga in shorts😂! Another great video! You’re making your way up the coast. Hope you make it up as far as Skagit County in Washington to see the best weather! Happy trails and drive safe!
OMG!!! That Dungeness crab sandwich looked so awesome! I haven't had one, since my last visit to the Oregon Coast. That's a cool town. I'm really jealous you two are there without me!! LOL😂
Oregon is my home state... there is so much to it! You have the beaches (each different), mountains (Mt Hood to name one), and high desert area... be sure to drive Hwy 101 all the way up... you won't be disappointed... be sure to stop in Depoe Bay and you may get lucky and see a whale! Get some salt water taffy!
2:00 minute mark I believe you have a very deadly plant behind you. It appears to be water hemlock. Don’t touch it! I hope I’m wrong and it’s not in a public, maintained camp ground like that. But I’d rather you guys be safe than get hurt. Hopefully I’m wrong, it was hard to get a good look.
❤ I live in Bandon Oregon so was happy to see how much you love this area. We love it here too! There is a group of people who do "circles in the sand" at low tide; that's the drawings in the sand you saw. Tony's crap shack is a definite favorite. Oregon coast is awesome!
Cape Blanco is my absolute all-time favorite campground on the Oregon coast! Always tried to get spot A5! So happy to see the bunnies are still there! I'm guessing that the lighthouse at Cape Blanco was closed. That's too bad because they let you go up into the top of the lighthouse near the Fresnel lens. There's so much to see and explore that you can take multiple trips and still not see it all! Thank you for showing off our amazing coast! And thank you for that amazing ahi tuna recipe! Blessings!
Clams round, ight color and smooth, Oysters light-ish color, rough and irregular, Mussels almond shaped usually black/blue and smoother. Sea urchins in the cave were cool but glad you didn't step on one they sting

Oh and the shells looked like mussel shells. The ones on the rocks looked like barnacles. Just a guess.
I love that you film in 4K. The colors and details of the cave dwellers pop out.
So many towns along the Oregon coast and each one is different. The topography is different from beach to beach as well. Enjoy it all!
Those were mussels on the rocks!!!
Good job on the Tuna Steaks Angel Princess! That scene had me 😂😂🤣🤣
See Cape Kiwanda, Depot bay, Newport , South beach, Sunset bay, and so much more. Tilamook cheese factory... you should stay on Oregon coast for at least a month, so much to see...Welcome to Oregon!
I’m pretty sure that the first cluster were muscles and the things covering the rocks are barnacles
You too exhibit how married couples should be like. I'm sure your love ❤ life is as "spicy" as that Ahi Tuna and Wasabi Risotto! Ha! "Keep on cookin!"
My goodness I’ve never seen water so clear as it was in that cave❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

A cave on the beach!!!! How COOL is that !!!!! And a new dish from Chef Kelly!!! An amazing day in new places! Thanks for sharing your adventure!!!!
I love Bandon, and the mighty Face Rock in the ocean. There’s a complete story about the woman’s face looking upward.
You are so right Kellie, there’s nothing like the Pacific coast😊
Absolutely one of my favorite from you guys. Thank you so much for taking us with you, this is something we probably could never do in our lifetime. When Kody went into that cave and seeing all the sea life in all the cracks & crevices I literally teared up, what an amazing beautiful place.

Oregon coast gets better as you go north.... Welcome to my state.... RESPECT FROM OREGON
You are killing me! That Ahi Tuna and Risotto dish liked amazing!!! I love them both!!! Angel Princess is magical!!! 😊
The forrest meets beach aesthetic is fantastic! Giving me Goonies🏴☠️ vibes . The dish combo looked great too.🤌🏻

Ok THAT WAS EPIC from beginning to end 💜 I’m in love with the Oregon Coast and now I want to be a chocolatier on the west coast 😆
I knew if you ever made it to Oregon, you would love it!! I'm so happy and excited that you do 😊
The San Juan Islands are calling! And all the wild berries are ripe in the mountains!
The beach at 5:30 minutes reminds me of the movie Goonies!
Beautiful landscapes.
All of the plant life and sea life in that cave was so colorful and amazing!
Love your enthusiasm. As you make your way up the coast, stay at Fort Stevens State Park if you can. You won’t be disappointed.
As a transplant Oregonian, this Longview, TX boy sincerely enjoys seeing you guys explore Oregon for the first time. Maybe we run into each other in our explorations! You guys should check out Short Sands beach. Neahkahnie is a great hike as well.
Agree!
Before you thought they were oysters, they were a clump of mussels. At 8:35 those are barnacles from what I am seeing, they maybe small oysters or clams.
Pretty sure Cody had an out of body experience with that first bite of tuna! LOL! Oregon looks so amazing!
Oh you Guys are the BEST...Loved every second of this Video 🌿👍❤️👍🌿

I've traveled the entire west coast from Olympia to southern California....Oregon coast is my favorite!
I love the PNW. I miss the foliage and scenery so much. I moved to central Montana. Thank you for filming this. I love watching your shows.
Great❤❤🎉Hello. I'm watching your video, have a nice day.
Bandon Fish Company!
Have a great time!
Marinating fresh ahi in soy sauce and ginger then coating with sesame seeds and searing is a must try 😊
We stayed at that State Park about 8 years ago. It was cloudy but nice. No rain. The only ticks our Last Dog ever got were from the Oregon Coast. I think when Jack walked him back into some thicker bushes he picked them up.
Holy crap!....you guys are on the way to 100K for sure! Thanks for the tour of Oregon coast!
Absolutely gorgeous video! Thanks for sharing!❤️

If you guys head further north to Cannon Beach, you can see where parts of The Goonies was filmed. Great video guys!!! ❤
WOW!!! One of your best videos ever!
When you get up to Florence area, you really should book a tour with Sandland Adventures, and get a ride around the huge sand dunes. So fun!
One of your coolest ever Cody! Gotta love it!!!!!!!
This was soooo cool!!❤❤
The tide pools are precious here in the pnw. And yes take your time there is so much too see. Enjoy
Amazing you two! Thank you!
I cannot be the only one who was thinking about The Goonies while watching this. Haha
Loved your reaction to Kelly’s tuna, that was priceless ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Clams round, ight color and smooth, Oysters light-ish color, rough and irregular, Mussels almond shaped usually black/blue and smoother. Sea urchins in the cave were cool but glad you didn't step on one they sting
Welcome to Oregon guys, I love it here.
That ahi looked perfect.
Thanks for sharing, just beautiful. Never seen anything like it.
A beautiful place, Oregon. I hear the McKenzie river trail is a must. MTB to the Blue Hole. Camping is along trail I think.
If you go south, or some other time, go to Jedediah Smith State Park. CA. I remember a river in the campground, blackberries, and beautiful big trees. Your Ahi steaks looked great.
Negative Ions from the Ocean....nothing quite like that.
I grew up in the ocean and was a Lifeguard in South Laguna age 16-18. Then I moved to the Mountains. Now I want the Ocean again. Have fun doing your thing!
Woo! I’m happy you guys went to Bandon, it is my number one most favorite place!!
Thanks for sharing,great video!!!!
Well, Bandon has always been a great place to eat....We have visited old town several times...To bad you didnt stop at Misty Meadows bout 10 miles south of Bandon on Hwy 101...They have the best homemade jams , jellies, syrups , honey , etc there...In fact, its the only place i buy that stuff anymore....If we havent been to the area in awhile , i have it shipped to me...Enjoy the Oregon Coast, it never gets old....Travel safe, be well...
It’s too bad you didn’t stop at the Samuel Boardman scenic corridor just north of Brookings! Some of the BEST coastline I’ve seen in Oregon.
What an amazing video! Thank you!
Those were muscles.
I know whatever you make will be awesome!
I was in Florence too! You can keep heading north to my state if you wish.😊. If you go farther east the weather will get more like that in the south, but drier. The west, where I'm from, can be more humid closer to the coast.
Okay girl! You cannot leave us hanging like this! Where is the recipe for the tuna seasoning and risotto???
Beautiful scenery!!
You should definitely check out Cape disappointment campground and go up in the light houses. It’s one of my favorite places.
Bandon has changed since I've been there. I've had many a night & day crabbing off that pier. As well as going to the Tillamook cheese factory which is no longer there. OH, and when I was last there it was 3/$1 to cook your crab @ Port O Call. I now own a crab cooker, it's the only way to go when you LOVE crab the way you love Ahi Tuna.
Safe travels.
P.s. I've lived in Northern California for 44 years, we've hit 122*, soooo 93* is doable. :)
My husband and I went to Florence last fall. Great food there!
Hello from La Pine, OR and I love my OR coast and there SP.
Nice guys! Keep it coming please!
