It’s not chest THAT high up. It is mixed voice. Head voice with edge n chest resonance. It is a learned/conditioned coordination from voice lessons and deliberate practice (such as in choir, etc.)

I love the opening of Tokyo ghoul, because this song is more than a song. The openings change with how Ken kanaki is dealing with in the arcs. It’s truly amazing, and a very good anime and manga series.

Not trying to be picky or someone whos trying to find issues with the song but does anyone else notice at 1:33 how the lyrics say "As who i should still be." but Caleb himself says "As who i still should be." or is it just me? the only reason i noticed it is because i was singing along with him in my head and it kind of threw me off and i double checked to see if thats what i heard and wasnt me just being crazy.

It's pretty interesting listening to this and your old version IMO, aside from the whole original album release it's kind of interesting to see the same singer tackle a cover they did before and how much it demonstrates their improvement overtime
I've heard a few different covers of the Tokyo Ghoul Unravel & every one has different lyrics. They all sound pretty damn epic though just like this one. Another killer tune Caleb & i also need to applaud your 'In One Breath' album. We can feel your struggle in every lyric. Keep fighting the good fight my guy.
@@johndietel6132 I survived a plecanta Abruption with my youngest child. I lost 2 1/2 pints of blood. My son when he was born was still born and 31 weeks old in gestation. He was revived Thankfully but not unscathed... He got minor brain damage from it. One of the main reasons he is so far behind.. he is a year old and doing things newborns would do. Where the damage was is where his motor skills are located. It's changed me I can't though happy for friends with new birth.. I just can't look or watch without the feeling of pain and loss though my son is here and very thankful that I am still here and my son. I always want to flinch or cry when I see other babies progress when they are much younger then him. He is also Gj-tube fed he was g-tube fed. But he couldn't tolerate it he just showed not interest in eating well nursing. Then I also got hit with loss in the start of the new year plus hit with two more. It has changed as I said ways I don't like I miss the person I once was.. I wish things turned out different in a good way for my son and I. I can never watch a helicopter no more.. because he was air lifted because he started having sezuires the first day I finally got to see him after birth to have him pulled away from me again. Or I can't look at a new mother at the hospital at the children's hospital it will take me back to that night.
