I feel like bath and body works comes out with scents so quickly that we all just run off to get them & then we have a huge overwhelming collection of everything. I have decided to do a no buy year and so far I've done good. Currently using sprays that have no pairs to them. I have also sold or donated a lot in the past.
They also pull you in with sales - I tend to buy just because it’s on sale which is bad…
My fragrance mist that I no longer use are now being used as room sprays 😊
I don’t declutter per se… I pull things that I’m not excited about and when people come to visit I let them shop those items! I do it with candles, clothes and body care items. Now my nieces are finally old enough to shop my closet they came out for spring break and were so excited to get so much stuff.
It’s so freeing to get rid of things you just no longer enjoy or have too much of 😊 we grow out of some scents and even if we do crave them later down the line it’ll be nice to have a fresh set if it’s available
Exactly! That’s the beauty of it , because most of the time it’ll be waiting for us in brand new packaging if we want it 🥰
Shower gels and some body care one no longer wants to use on their body can make for some great pedi soaks and pedi care between visits.

I got into body care in the past year and almost fell into the trap of collecting a huge amount of products just because. Now i have fun trying out new things and keepijg what I'll use for a long time.

I enjoyed this video!! I just decluttered some of my products yesterday. My son stopped by with his date and they were going to celebrate her Birthday so I kindly bagged up Country Apple, Love (Cotton Candy Champagne) and Midnight Pomegranate in the FFM mist and Sunshine Mimosa shower gel. I keep some of my BBW bags and she left with those as a gift. It feels like I have a mini BBW Store in my closet because I have so much lol.🥴 Felt good getting rid of some.😁

What I learned: I don’t want a large collection of perfumes and body care. It’s stressful!
What's stressful about it to you?
It’s definitely important to keep our body care to a level that’s personally comfortable to our own liking 😌 my collection isn’t overwhelming to me but may be to others

I love this declutter video and you inspired me to do the same. I've been wanting to for a while because I'm overwhelmed. I have this bad habit of hoarding too many scents because I never want to be without them or I have FOMO but then it just becomes too much and I never even use some of this stuff because it gets lost in the clutter. Plus they're always coming out with new stuff so I have to let go of the past and just enjoy stuff. Thanks for the inspiration. I enjoy all your videos.
Hey hey ! I’m happy I could give you some inspo . It really is hard for us fragrance lovers to get rid of anything . Especially if it’s something we’re afraid that they’ll never bring back . But if we’re not even enjoying the things we have , what’s the point ? I really had to just purge and not hoard because that’s when it starts to get out of control because we will seriously never use all of this stuff up 🥲

Because of my atopic dermatitis I am Limited in the body care items I can wear. I'm just now getting back into colognes and perfumes so I decided to just buy either the travel sets or get the sets that has anywhere from 12 to 21 cologne and perfume samples. So no more full-size bottles for me. Because they'll just end up going to waste.

I love what you had to say about decluttering. I’ve been doing that all around my apartment. If it doesn’t bring me joy I really don’t need it. Otherwise it really needs to be a need, is used often and can be organized. Same for me on self care items. I am trying to be more selective of what I purchase so I am purchasing I will use over and over. Otherwise it’s just taking up space and I have moved several times over the last decade and I am moving too much stuff for just me.

U did what works 4 you. I'm not ready just yet but I will admit I want & need to learn to buy less & I'm definitely over big bottle items. I wish manufacturers would sell smaller bottles more. Sometimes we just wanna try a scent just to try it or so we can say we had it, doesn't mean we need a big bottle or the entire collection.
I agree , it would be easier if things were smaller ! I’ve been buying significantly less. The main reason I’ve accumulated so much anyway is because I do videos and review . Before RUclips I had a good 5 scents to my name and I was happy lol
Most shelters most here dont (except for clothing) take or accept any body care thats used even gently used good wills either they only keep new unused even prior to pandemic for hygenic purposes.
That makes sense ! If I’m giving something to Salvation Army etc , it’s always unopened products 🩷

Thanks for the motivation because I honestly need to do this again too. I decluttered some earlier this year, but I’m realizing there are some scents that I’m just not reaching for. Some I’ve had for close to 2 years and have used once or twice. 🥴

That ogx brown bottle bodycare needs to come back I really love it is a cake or cookie smell I really and family really enjoy reason switch to native as long the company brings the gourmand scents I will continue to repurchase I repurchase the gummy candy shop and loved it hopefully they bring it in all fragrances of candy shop for hairproducts

Girl i was not using pumpkin cupcake, until it i layered with wicked vanilla🤩 one day my little girl was playing with my body mists and I smelled her and i was thinking she sprayed a perfume, and it was this combination lol
After that, i am using it like that smells like a spicy vanilla perfume❤

I'm moving in 3 months so I'm working on a few shower gels and body mists that I don't want to bring into the new house.
Having to move made me realise I want to downsize! I've already decluttered 3 mists and 6 perfumes.

Girl I low key don’t wear it with anything because it’s so strong lol sometimes though I’ll wear it with strawberry Poundcake and it adds a creaminess and tones it down . Also Thank U Next 2.0 and Burberry Her if I do pair it !
Girl, i went into my under bed storage bag that has all my backup mists in it bc i had to get out another champagne sprinkles and pink velvet Cupcake bc i just finished those. Well, i found 2 bonfire bash, a pumpkin pecan waffles, strawberry poundcake and a pink velvet cupcake that had leaked! How tf does that happen? So annoying! So now, I'm def in the mindset that i wamt to do some decluttering bc throwing those away BROKE MY HEART! UGH! The pink Velvet cupcake i kept since i was going to use it anyways and it was barely any missing but the other had leaked out a good 4th of the mist and ruined the packaging too! 😢
Were they laying on their sides? I’ve heard other people say when they left their mists lying down that they’ve leaked. Sorry that happened to you!
@@arili7126 yeah, they are laying down. I never thought they would leak. So weird. I'm def buying some really sturdy bookshelves bc gosh, that killed me throwing away some of my fav scents. Ugh! 😫
