That volunteer officer needs to be charged for abusing her power..
And removed from this volunteer position and never allowed on the police force in the future, or any positions of authority.

Actually she is the main guilty party, but, if he was aware & heard what was said, yes, he should hv spoken up, & spoken to the 'officer', who was so rude. Anti-Christ spirit at work in that situation. This country originally was a Christian coumtry that abided by good Christian morals, principles, & biblical wisdom, which is very much needed today. People have given in too much to those who of other faiths, that hv been 'allowed' to 'take over' in too many areas, & not enough people stand up & stand against those types of people. Turning bad into good, good into bad, evil has been accepted & classed & good. Which is morally so very wrong. In the Word of Almighty GOD, He says, "Whoa to those who call evil good & good, evil." This is a warning. The world because of this type thing has become corrupt & is in such chaos. Too many people stand back & say nothing, it is Not right, at all!!
I think we are all in trouble if this is what the Met are sending out onto the streets of London.

I saw a police officer stop a gospel preacher because she claimed it was illegal to preach as it could offend those of other religions. When I intervened on behalf of the preacher, she threatened to arrest me!

That volunteer "police officer" didn't make a poor decision. She was out-and-out rude and wrong. So was the officer with her who did nothing to stop his colleague. The government needs to stop making excuses for big-(0)-try. .
The officer was totally unprofessional and her actions could be construed as bringing the name of the Metropolitan Police into disrepute. People complain that the police are struggling to deal with crimes committed owing to lack of manpower, yet seem to have time to chase a gospel singer.
Should not be allowed to do it anymore. She clearly doesn’t know the law.

They won’t hire John from down the road anymore because he’s probably had a fight once in his life, just a normal bloke, enjoys a pint etc but he would be extremely competent in the role. They don’t want Johns anymore.
The police officer should have been sacked for sticking her tongue out at the gospel singer, regardless of whether or not she got it wrong in terms of the law. Such disrespect to a member of the public makes her unfit to be a police officer, volunteer or not.

Interesting that last Monday, an imam was singing a religious chant on Tower Bridge in London, with the enhanced aid of a public address system, oh and he had the full support of his minders and helpers from the local police force who were in attendance......

This "officer" needs retraining. Her unprofessional behaviour is totally unacceptable, the fact her colleague stood there like a lump of wood not correcting the "error" also needs looking into. The only reason this has had such a low-key response is because the singer is a Christian. Had she also been white and male, then no action would have been taken AT ALL!
Had this been a muslim call to prayer, the "officer" would have said nothing. As Penny Mordant says, we have policing by consent in the UK and unless the police start to do a better job and actually remove the obvious biases they've picked up in the last few years, that consent will be more and more difficult to find.

As a Frenchman I was surprised to learn, and hear it from her accent, that she was a foreigner. I never thought the police force would resort to hiring foreigners!?
@@webrambler88 yes, it is due to the Police Service’s push for diversity and inclusivity. Not all are like her, I had a Polish recruit seconded to my section in the days before the UK left the EU. She spoke 5 or 6 other Eastern European languages, she was invaluable as an interpreter when dealing with other EU migrants. She was a good officer too! I’m afraid the one in the video isn’t a good officer and needs to learn a great deal!

@@micknat1088 There’s nothing wrong with buskers but the primary reason for Harmonie singing is to spread the gospel not for financial gain and I think she differentiates herself from professional buskers who perform primarily for money. It would be the same for others who perform primarily for enjoyment or to practice etc rather than primarily for money although there’s nothing wrong with that either.
Even confusion about whether she was busking or not does not excuse that woman's conduct.

In the Lords they get an attendance bonus, quite a large one, for staying a set number of hours per day (3 hours?). Not sure if the same applies in the Commons. MPs do have a large number of other duties so are not always present: indeed there’s not actually enough space for them all to sit.
Salary, perks and pensions intact, whether they attend or not😂

If the Met police, who always seems to be saying we are/will learn lessons from some interaction with the public that they have got totally wrong, made the police involved make an apology in public, people may have more faith in the established system.
If they actually printed out the relevant facts and their remedial action and made each office from top to bottom read and sign as understanding, perhaps we would have more faith in them.
This incident goes beyond that special constable, why did the two others with her not correct her? Is it because like most officers they do not know the actual law they claim to uphold? Policing seems to be done on subjectiveness of personal feeling not objectiveness of the actual law. May be there should be classes on the laws for the rank and file - and their supervisors.
Why haven't the college of policing not had an app made so that policemen/women can quickly access the section and basic summery of any law, made available to all but only amended by the college to protect it's contents.

Never in my wildest dreams as a man from the republic of Ireland did i think that I'd find myself agreeing with wee ian on anything, but they way thing's are now in both our countries everything and everyone is acceptable now accept a native born Christian professing their faith.
It was not just a “poor decision” this volunteer policeman allowed her own prejudice and power to deny Miss Harmony a basic right. Policing is a difficult and demanding job at the best of times, and they don’t always get the praise and recognition they deserve, but when they get it wrong, they must be held to a higher account.

The UK is entitled to properly qualified (and suitably selected) 0fficers. That is obviously not happening and needs to be taken up with the people that appoint the police officers.
