Definitely have a pair of Caiques for their sanity and yours. They need a constant playmate but will still love their pet human. Amazingly unique parrots!
I have always like Caique Parrots. I have limit of feather babies. I feel bad birds owned by people who have to many and not in the living conditions and never any love and out of the cage time. Can a sun conure and yellow sided green cheek conure live together my boy sun conure is a lot bigger than my green cheek they kinda get along. I just don't want any of my babies hurt fighting. Yes, your son and green chic are very likely to get along. However, if you want to cage them together, make sure to watch them. I would put them in for small amounts of time first and make sure it is a cage that neither is familiar with so that no one owns the territory. Once they are comfortable and bonded, having them together will make them both very happy.
I think you summed it up. My Caiques are pretty clingy with me. They get interested in other things but they constantly come back to me and want to be on me. Yes, they are stubborn😂.
She is very pretty, what do you call that color combo? Peach or coral headed? My ringneck doesn't talk yet, but he has picked up my Superb Parrot's call. Today was the first time he did it.

They are so interesting because they are like every other Parrot, and so different too!
