If you were playing a human, especially if it were a lower rated opponent, would you still take the points in DISTAIN or would you consider sacrificing the 15 points to minimize the variance?
Pretty awesome game!! Surprised you didn't catch the spot for WH- words down from DEEWANS on the turn where you played QUAIL - that scoring spot jumped out at me, I think it almost surely would've come up had the bot not burned the H to bingo immediately after. I guess only the bots never have misses of that kind though GUIRO, OBVIATED stunning plays, the Q turns as well as OATY super interesting. I wonder if there was any permutation of draws that won for you after OATY, really tricky stuff there
Thanks! I think it's possible, but extremely unlikely, for me to win after OATY -- I believe I more or less need to bingo and draw the W in such a way that the bot can't bingo out. The thing is if the bot has the W it gets COWING or BOWING/GOATY on the top and outruns me. For instance if I hit REGENTS/QUAILS and draw the W, I go up 28 and bot has BEEION?. I'm threatening to go out at 10F with my W for 26, and no way the bot is outrunning that without a bingo, which is doesn't appear to have. Super unlikely though obviously that all these things would happen in sequence.
Words like WHERE and WHEAT would still fit - and score much more - after QUAIL, so it didn't really block much. W-words without an H in the second spot wouldn't score a lot, unless he had something like WOOTZ or WAREZ, but there were plenty of places to score with the Z anyway.
Yeah, that was a bit of an oversight on my part, so in retrospect LIQUID was probably slightly better. Crazy how these little mistakes can be punished so severely sometimes in this game!
brutal
sad

oh wait is it just playing DO? hahaha
I love this series!
Thanks so much, I appreciate your support!

Ever seen a pass on the first turn with a perfect "going 2nd" rack?!
Opponent can just exchange
josh sokol played "A" once, which is pretty close and much more interesting, but yeah that definitely happens when your rack is extremely good
It's generally not recommended since, as pointed out below, your opponent should just exchange unless they have a huge play or bingo themself
@@mackmeller But would BestBot do this? I would figure it would not
Really exciting game. Bot got white hot there.

Another thrilling game !
Thanks for watching!
Why not pass at the start?
In this video we learn that Mack isn't a fan of DS9.
Now that all the guesses are in mack starts trying to save spread in end games SMH.

only possible mistake being quail which didn't actually block wh, otherwise looks like just unlucky
