Tooth ache has to be one of the worst pains ever mate memories with your hunting dog is truly amazing witch only hunters will probably understand 👍🏴
Great you gave Mallow a try! I eat it regularly. Choose newer growth leaves, older ones tend to get a rust on them and are tougher.Chopping more finely helps with the texture. Being a single Mum with 3 kids to feed I had to get the most nutritious food for as cheap as possible!! Funny you made a soup as in Middle East, a soup is the preferred way to eat. I have made pestos and salsa verde with it too.
hi clay, if you have a reliable fish monger, or you happen to catch one, i get salmon frames cheaply and use a table spoon and sharp knife to scrape the remaining flesh of the frame and head (you'll be surprised how much salmon you get) I then add it to a stir fry of leafy greens and some ginger, the frame and head then goes to my dog which she loves, you could also do a seafood soup using the frame and some muscles. happy munching...... 😊
For toothache, make a paste of clove spice and a few drops of olive oil, apply to tooth, and bingo. Pain gone. The actual oil of cloves, is the answer. You do dribble though, because it dulls the feeling in the mouth, but it's powerful pain killer. Take care mate. And thanks for taking the time to share. Atb
Could put your frames in more water, with a carrot, onion, and a leek, big pot , salt and pepper, I add chilli flakes, you will have stock for extra meals. Still cheap.
With the slugs if u cut a beer can in half and fill them a quarter with the beer and leave them in the garden it drowns them real well and is safe around the dogs. If possible use something a bit taller like a Heineken and it works better also cut the cans before u open them and u can get 2 traos out of the 1 can
my old dog bruiser that died he would always struggle to stand up on his back legs too then i had to start bringing him inside of the house and he had to sleep next to the fire place because it started getting to cold for outside even if he was i his kennel. One night i went to go feed him his dinner and my other dog Bentley was there but not bruiser even though he couldn't here that good since how old he was getting so i went to the front deck wasn't there so dad and i started looking for him we were out there for an hour or so i didn't find so i went inside to see if dad was with bruiser around the front so i went inside from the the back door but dad wasn't there then i grabbed my spotlight to easier out in the dark then i found dad and said "have you found him" and dad said "no but something is moving that bush but i cant see in there with my phone light can you give me your spotlight real quick" and guess who was there it was bruiser lying in the bush tryin tho get comfortable so we took him him inside and seat up his bed next to the fire place and gave him his food then i went to bed
As your watchers have said below Clay. Clove Oil - we knock trout out at the fish n game hatchery with it as its a natural powerful anaesthetic.... My Old Man used to chew on a whole clove to soothe tooth ache in his last 7 stumps 🤣. Temporary great pain relief!
Fighting slugs is on going with high grass & stuff laying about, what i do as told of other gardeners is,beside my patches of greens i leave small dishes of water or even my friends stale beer when they visit, slugs in a hot day will go for a drink & drown,it will not get rid of all but you will be amazed in how many you will stop,if you take on this practice,i also cut holes in the side of plastic bottles put a small amount of any fluid in it & leave the lid on it,as it will stop rain water getting in it.. Thank you.
Rinse the seaweed and it’s okay to mix through your compost. I used to get buckets of seaweed, rinse it in a kids shell pool, then layer it around my fruit trees topped off with cow manure and straw/hay🍺🍺
The Confederates during the American Civil war use to dry and roast the root of the yellow dandelion as a coffee substitute when they couldn't get any , It's kind like coffee when I tried it but a little bitter but ok.Give it a try bro !
Thankyou for these videos clay . I haven't watched the vide yet but I just wanted to say thankyou for these videos . It's really making us not lose our minds while Being lockdown
Worm 🪱 bins are pretty easy to set up, and when they are in the right position getting a good mix of green and brown the COMPOST WORMS (different to regular worms) will make you lots of compost on different layers. Clay, remember that with a worm 🪱 farm, you are farming the liquid mainly, so when you have any green waste from the garden, throw it in, compost worms 🪱 will eat it in days! The general rule for worm farms and compost is 4 parts green waste to 1 part brown waste which is the sticks & coffee (carbon), EVENLY layered. WHY??? Because, in a worm farm, you are going after the worm wee mainly, so the juicier the green and brown mix, the more worm wee you will get! Make sure the far end of the bath away from the plug is slightly elevated, so the maximum amount of worm 🪱 juice can flow out! Even layering encourages the worms to travel between the two layers to feed. Clay, You didn't want to put the seaweed in the bath? ...that's understandable, as logic makes you think "from the sea, so it has to be full of salt!" Well, when you catch a Kahawai and eat it sashimi style, is it salty or sweet? If it was salty you wouldn't put soy sauce with it. Seaweed straight from the beach is basically the equivalent of a cross between all your superfood veggies plus steak! Seaweed is great in worm farms and compost bins. The bath is good, but when they get going full bore, they will lay eggs near the surface, even on the underside of the carpet or Hessian sack you lay down! When you want to harvest the eaten leftover compost, make sure to UNCOVER THE BATH to bright light for about 15-30 minutes to let the majority of your worms 🪱 go down deep, away from the light! I hope you got to read this Clay, as I enjoy seeing your garden flourish. Clay, each time I see Bruno walking around a little bit stiff I know that you would have probably given him as much massage as possible to help his old bones, but I feel sad when I think about the old guy, I know how much he means to you, not just as the mascot and logo of your channel. When the time comes for Bruno to bail up boars in the sky, I hope you will be able to accept a new Argentine into your life as you have mentioned in some of your previous posts. I hope you had a great Father's day, great to hear that you got a nice call from your daughter. Yes, it was fathers day on Sunday in Australia, which happened to be my little brothers 57th birthday as well, unfortunately due lockdown restrictions I couldn't go over, so we, the main family members made a big Zoom conference party! 👍🍺🍰🎉🎈 Have a great day mate 👍
The weed you're eating is called marshmallow weed here in South Australia. It grows wild all round the state, maybe other states as well. I know as kids my brothers and sisters and I always ate the seeds but I can't remember eating the leaves. If you want some more of it just come over to my place, I have a good crop in my backyard right now.
When I first moved out of home my budget go to meal was Savoury toast . : 500 g grated cheese 160 g onion, about 1 1/2 375 g bacon ( more the better lol ) 2 eggs 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, or to taste 500 g tomato relish 2 loaves of toast bread Put cheese in a bowl Dice onion . Set aside in same bowl as the cheese. Dice bacon . Add eggs, worcestershire sauce and relish to bacon and mix Add cheese and onion to bacon mix. Mix it all to together Toast the bread. Spread mix on one side of the warm toasted bread and place in a moderate oven for about 15 minutes until golden. Cut into desired size and serve.. Miss it so much now I’m trying Keto diet
