Coming out to my parents as a lesbian was not easy. Im asian and most of them will never support their children on being gay. I told my parents about this 6years ago and that’s resulting me for being disowned by them. I left my parents house and started to living by my own. Worked so hard for our life so that i could rent a flat for me and my girlfriend to live together. And yeah. Here we are. We are so happy and we are getting married next month. But at the same time im so sad that i always had this one feeling like I don’t have parents , that’s how i feel. 6years without my family. I miss them.

I really like this one because I was 64 when I came out it was because my granddaughter told at 15 that she was gay to me she was so brave so I told her and my family I was gay to it felt so good so if you are gay please make sure you will be safe and I want to thank you to Alexa and Maria because it was also because of you to so thank you I will Follow both of you to the end

The reaction of the grandmother was also awesome. The coming out as pan was to her mums (not sisters). The coming out as bi with a cake actually went viral. I agree with each of your comments, yes, sometimes it's a little scary, but much progress has been made on all these issues related to respect for the LGTBI community, however you should also seek your safety and your happiness, in me personal case, I am a Latina living in Europe, not out of fear of my country, but out of impotence, seeing that there are still many people who insist on marginalizing you because of your sexual orientation, and above all for not hiding it.

I came out to my mom by asking if she was straight and she said yes and asked if I was too and she said I'm glad you had enough confidence to tell me that and I support you no matter what you identify as and ever since than she has been the best mom and even asked me if I want to go to pride festival and all that and I did all that at the age of 11

I was 37 when I came out to my mom a lot of my cousins knew for years. Being from the islands they still don’t accept it but it took her a little time she still hope one day I’ll get a good man. After 3 kids 6/5 years old.
