Penn State alum fan here. That was a heckuva game by the Gophers. As your coach said in his post-game, his guys played their hearts out, and in many respects outplayed Penn State. At the same time, the game showed the character and resiliency of this 2024 Nittany Lions team to find ways to win when they've been behind in difficult road games. As for the "if Minnesota doesn't give up turnovers, they win." Well, Penn State could also say if it weren't for a muffed punt and extra-point try, they'd have gone into halftime leading 17-10 and probably winning 27-16, covering the predicted spread. In any case, it's a disappointing home loss (just talk to Penn Staters about Ohio State), but Minnesota put on a terrific show for college football fans today. Good luck to y'all next week.
I am a die hard Penn State fan. Gophers always play Penn State tough. Would love to have PJ Fleck coaching at Penn State. Classy coach classy program. This is the game I thought could lose.
Penn Stater here. You gave us a hell of a game. Fleck is a great coach with a great culture. He just doesn't have PSU's resources and recruiting to close the gap. But Minny is a house of horrors for us.
Penn State fan here to say well played game. PSU never lost its cool. this experience of game management in away games is encouraging and they should continue to improve.
Mad respect for Ron Johnson. Great insight...I say it over and over...some of these games are too big for PJ...overthink that 1st and goal situation. We said it in the ARMY..."Keep it simple stupid."

I was at the game and it was an excellent match to watch. Tough to see us lose this close one but the Gophers definitely played their heart outs.
The Gophers are top 25 caliber team.
The loss was a shame. Another “could have been” year for PJ. It’s been a fun year, but yea, we will always wonder.
Good game Gophers. Best of luck vs the Badgers.

PJ always runs injured players into the ground and never plays backups in a blowout.
The fumble by the gophers quarterback was inexcusable. Nobody touched him. He just dropped the ball. Vedy suspicious
