Great job Hank like the way you got that in that well hold even after the truck rots away one thick plate you had put in there thank you can't wait for next video.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting. Wow. That was quite a project. My compliments to Mr. Powell for his cutting and welding skills. Looks good and you got it set up the way you want it. That is quite the ball hitch with the dial to show weight. Another piece for your truck Hank. Thanks v The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Howboutcha! I got the same bed and I welded some supports underneath just because I didn't trust the factory cm setup , but after watching the job he had getting it out I got a lot more trust in it ! He did a beautiful job ! You can't beat a neighbor / buddy like that !
I can’t believe you cut that ball out! Just messing with you Hank! What a jam up job! Can’t wait to make my way back out there! We’ll keep on watching the killer content as long as you keep it coming!
job well done...great idea i cant uderstand why the other hitch was welded in...the way it is now its replaceable.. removable.and can be swapped between vehicles..and now you could make up different atachments .you could weld up a mount for a winch with the same square tubing..
Now someone could put in a number of different hitches with the optional tube. Nice job. Wild men both of you ! Can't wait to see his tracts working in the field. Wow 5 or more !
Great video and he did your man that did the fabrication and welding did a awesome job .I love the ford tongue percentage is critical when hauling a trailer.Hank y’all do some amazing videos started watch RUclips and your videos are the first I ever see thank you for sharing your experiences 10-4 I’m 10-10 on the side good buddy 😊
Great video! Have you ever considered/tried to get Batteries+ to sponsor your videos? Considering all the batty issues/problems you run into they'd be perfect.
the hitch company need to have it engineered to maybe do a sensor to feel drop to calculate actual tongue weight. most trucks look at your tag on the trailer dry verses loaded subtract trucks capacity your total 🟰 is about what’s being hauled. my dad went on the basis less is more.
Hello Wylie and Hank! Seeing other content from a yr.ago. with the track auger. Phrase of being stupid is watching the commercials of "Leggs' stockings hoping more to be seen or when coyote catches roadrunner! (Yes! Now it's possible. Ford's coyote nor Mopar hemi or V10! And. Not least Chevy. But poor build quality in the 5.7(3timing chain. Like FoMoCo. Distributor being in front.(say . Jockstrap for thorough bred/no gelding!!!
Everyone I’ve have seen bolts a plate to the frame . I guess it could be under that service bed but that doesn’t seem like it would be strong enough, but I’m only a rocket scientist 😂
Instead of laying on the ground a simple lawn sprinkler would have been easier. You also should have arc welded it out there are special rods for cutting through heavy plate still love the video keep up the great work
I'll tell you what, that ball was designed to NOT come out of that bed. Boy oh boy edit: also cutting the ball as he has to, it's horizontal and the metal is pooling in-between the ball and the plate under it (really the post of the ball) and it's re-welding itself as he pulls the torch away. That's a tricky cut that requires a LOT of heat and some good strong oxygen blasts to get it to shear off.. man that's a tough cut, I'm sure they would have left a way to take that out of there, maybe the plate from underneath somehow comes out, but maybe you'd have to lift the entire bed up to get to it. Definitely meant to NOT break off during a tow, ever!
Can you tow with the weigh safe hitch, or is it just to find out what your tongue weight is? Do you have to replace it with a regular hitch to tow with?
The factory hitch was put in there by guys who meant it to stay there no matter what the truck was towing, I bet you could've pulled a railroad car with it.
Well, OK..🤔 It works BUT that is not the way I did it . I TOOK THE BEAD OFF ! I used a FLIP ball mount level with the bed surface with a spring loaded PIN..... 220$ EBAY MOTORS . Thanks
Fire on top water on bottom can’t get it HOT enough 😂😂
Right!
Great job Hank like the way you got that in that well hold even after the truck rots away one thick plate you had put in there thank you can't wait for next video.
That was awfully nice of your neighbor to help you out like that. I hope you bought him a nice lunch and maybe kicked some merch his way.
What a job, Thanks for your videos brother, God bless You Hank!!!
Your friend did a great job. That was a lot of work.
Awesome video Hank and Mr Powell, that new ball aint going nowhere, looks good and strong and safer too, God bless y'all.

I would just like to tell you I truly enjoy your videos. They are awesome thank you for sharing them.
I appreciate that!
Those welds looked fantastic for what he had to work with
Hank, hit the hammer with the handle down an then put a couple good size wood screws if you don’t have a handle wedge!
Love watching all the different content 👍 Great video as always 👌 God Bless 🙌
Thanks for the video Hank.
God bless you and your family!

That flatbed sure is well built and I like the upgrade to be able to pull a pin pull out the hitch, very nice!
Thanks 👍

He did a lot for sure!
I truly enjoy your videos. They’re awesome thank you for sharing them.😊
Glad you like them!
Awesome video Hank appreciate you sharing buddy 👍

Very nice job and God bless y'all
Thank you buddy
I'm from Alberta and I approve of your decision.
Looks good and functional 👍👍
Have a nice day!
How do you get the pin for the hitch in and out?
Thanks!
Pipe wrench hell no, crescent wrench HELL YEAH! 😂
that's right!!!
Ohhh i could have told you that would be a heck of a job
Great video! Have you ever considered/tried to get Batteries+ to sponsor your videos? Considering all the batty issues/problems you run into they'd be perfect.
That would be awesome!
Great tool work in joyed watching
Thanks 👍
No “welders blanket” to put over the brake lines?
That thang was in there good
fo sho
I’d like to see how good it was anchored underneath ! Usually fords had a catch you released under the wheel well to just pull the ball out .
Yeah my gasser has that
@@HamiltonvilleFarm looked like a hot job !! Good day for ice-cream !
You have cool stuff that's worth checking out
Thank you
That turned out to be a pretty big job but now you have it the you want it good video
For sure
Good job!
Hank I don't know but I think you could have left the old hitch in place. Especially when I saw as much cutting as you two had to do.
You could have but I wanted this one instead 👍
Weld the square in so the pin will be exposed. Then pull pin and ball and still use cover.
I dont get why the ball needed cut out in the first place
WOW

It’s been plenty strong enough so far. 👍
Hank how long did it take to get it out I know you had to take some of the video
It was a long time. A couple hours probably
@@HamiltonvilleFarm OK I thought so
Instead of laying on the ground a simple lawn sprinkler would have been easier. You also should have arc welded it out there are special rods for cutting through heavy plate still love the video keep up the great work
lol. now you tell me.😂
A whole lot of research should have been done before cutting.
You really didn't show us his bulldozer collection either ?
I’ll do another video on it. It’s pretty awesome 👍
I bet about that 15min mark you was thinking wat in the hell did I get in 2 .... my opion is you should have left it like it was but I'm a idiot 😮😮😮😮

I always thought those hitches were all screwed in so they could be replaced. .not welded..

You tow with it. It’s awesome
