every parent must understand that, once he get married, you also give them space instead of being possessive. Bcoz now he also his own family, other responsibilities towards the new members entering in his life. so release him from your side. let him feel relaxed at least from your side. then he will definitely respect you. instead of complaining and being negative is not a solution. That is why we had four Ashram. Brahmacharya (student), Gṛhastha (householder), Vanaprastha (forest walker/forest dweller), and Sannyasa (renunciate). The Asrama system is one facet of the Dharma concept in Hinduism. not to interfere in their life, instead now you devote your time for your self realisation.
