    Amazing job! For the v2 there has to be a change on those wheels, i suggest using something like ninja flex or coat the wheels with a layer of rubber.

      I use an Ender 3 and it is complicated to print flexible filaments, however I see options to improve tire grip. Thanks a lot for your support.

    should design the tires much less flat. The reason tires are not flat on a car, is the narrow center of the tire "smushes" in to the pavement, allowing the outer edges to then make contact. This creates much more traction/grip than a flat tire, which will attempt to apply the grip mostly to the inner part of the tires instead of across the entire surface of the treads. You also are losing a lot of grip in your turns with flat tires.

      @3dimensions478  4 года назад

      Thanks for the tip, the car loses traction because the TPU I used is very rigid, I should use NinjaFlex or something more flexible, however I only have this TPU. Since the tyres got too rigid they don't deform. And the loss of traction in corners is due to the small contact area of the front tyres with the ground. I'm assembling the V2 and I'm going to make an AWD car to try to solve the problem of low traction in corners.

    print orientation, as per files or should the be repositioned??? nice model and easy for first build.

    • @3dimensions478
      @3dimensions478  2 года назад

      Thanks, in this model you should use the best orientation to print each part, for example to use less support material.

    Absolutely amazing wor! Congrats! I see that you use an Ender 3 and is difficult to print flexible filaments on it. There are very simple mods (3d printables) to the extruder to better support flexible filaments, but off course you can change the extruder to a BMG (the clones work pretty well too). In a few days I will try to make this project, currently I'm making the "Duke Doks 1:10 Adaptable Chassis". Best regards and thanks for sharing your great work!

      Thank you very much and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I changed the extruder to a dual gear and can print flexible filament with some quality. When you finish my project I'd love to see the final result! Thanks again.

    Amazing work! What do you think the all up material costs of the car would be (bolts, filament...)? And do you think with larger softer tires, the car could be used in more rough offroad/dirt applications? Thanks in Advance!

    • @3dimensions478
      @3dimensions478  3 года назад +1

      I think the cost of the car is about 70/80 euros.The electronics I used cost about 50€, 10/15€ in filament and 10/15€ in screws and bearings. This price can change a lot depending on the radio you buy and the price of the screws and bearings. And yes the car can be used off the road.
      If you want to print this model I recommend you wait a month or two, I finished the V2 a few days ago and now I'm just improving some details, after that I will start filming and editing.
      The V2 is AWD, it has bigger wheels, better chassis and aesthetic improvements like cover, spoiler and bumpers. The performance is much better, it's faster and as it's higher it doesn't get stuck so much in off-road obstacles.
      Thanks a lot for the support and in case you need any help I am here to answer all your questions.

    • @theorangebaron1595
      @theorangebaron1595 3 года назад

      Another question, will the V2 be more complex/expensive than this one?

    • @3dimensions478
      @3dimensions478  3 года назад +1

      @@theorangebaron1595 Yes it will be a bit more expensive, you need more bearings, more screws and more plastic to print everything, however some parts are optional and if you don't use them the performance of the car will be the same. I used the same electronics, so I think the V2 will cost more or less 10 euros more than the V1. On the other hand, some parts in the V1 would break frequently and it was necessary to print new ones, spending more plastic, and this happens less in the V2 since it is more rubust.

      Awesome, I already have the electronics so the extra bearings and screws will be worth the extras durability. Thanks!

    how did you setup the esc to work both front and reverse ?

    • @3dimensions478
      @3dimensions478  3 года назад +1

      I first bought the yellow ESC and it only works one way, so the car had no reverse. Later I bought a bidirectional ESC but I can't work well with it, so I use the yellow one even without reverse.

    • @3dimensions478
      @3dimensions478  3 года назад

      Thank you very much for your support. I didn't use a scale, I drew the car piece by piece and with it I saw the best dimensions for each thing. Between axles it has 230mm, in total it has 305mm of length and 190mm of width.

      I have seen it, thank you very much for sharing and I hope you have a lot of fun with the car.
      I bought an ESC with reverse but it didn't work very well so I used an ESC with only one direction, the yellow one. Yesterday I ordered a new ESC with reverse for a new project but I don't know if it works well yet, after I test it I can share the link. And don't hesitate to ask, this car was also the first time I put together a system like this.
