Rhine Valley Freight Traffic diverted on Strasbourg-Lauterbourg with DieselPower 1

- For the long-planned closure of the Rheintalbahn in Rastatt between 9 and 30 August, many trains had to be diverted, particularly via France.
This very important international freight corridor, which handles hundreds of trains per day, had to adapt alongside the railway companies using it.
After nearly 3 years of preparation between Captrain France, SBB Cargo International and the network managers SNCF Réseau and DB InfraGo, a shuttle was set up between Wörth am Rhein and Kehl via the French bank by the line from Lauterbourg to Strasbourg.
For traffic on the non-electrified French line from Lauterbourg to Strasbourg, Captrain France was able to count on cooperation with Fret SNCF for the loan of BB75100 locomotives suitable for Germany, in order to pull the trains from end to end of the border, between Wörth and the Offenburg marshalling yard.
Thanks to the various stakeholders in the project, it is not only possible for SBB Cargo International to use its routes, but also for other railway companies that generally transit via the Rheintalbahn.
This first video therefore includes sequences filmed between 9 and 21 August in Bischheim, Souffelweyersheim, La Wantzenau and Gambsheim.

A second part will be published soon for the trains seen on the more northern part of the line, towards Lauterbourg.

C'était - enfin - l'occasion de voir en France les belles rames et les machines qu'on prend habituellement plaisir à immortaliser de l'autre côté du Rhin !

Les 193 (version multi systèmes et bimodes) sont prévues pour rouler en France, le premier exemplaire sera livré dès fin 2026. Alpha Trains, SBB cargo et Beacon Rail sont intéressés pour développer des autoroutes ferroviaires transfrontalières avec ces machines. Hélas on ne sait pas encore quand !
Rien d'extraordinaire, les locomotives circulent depuis déjà plus de 10 ans à travers l'Europe, on est un des derniers pays à ne pas l'avoir sur nos rails... @@ambe5179
