  • Hey all!
We have been spending All Saints Day and All Souls Day in Manila as we have lived there since birth but the resting place of our departed loved ones is here in Olango Island, Cebu. So in Manila, we just simply stay home, light candles, offer their favorite foods and prayers.
This is my first time witnessing how they prepare and maintain the resting place of our Lolos, Lolas, Uncles and Aunts. I wasn't able to film everything but I've got the chance to see how they value the tradition of commemorating our departed loved ones by offering prayers and food in the altar, lighting up the candles on every doorway and visiting & talking to them in cemetery as if they are there listening to us.
Aside from the traditions, kids get to enjoy the trick or treating where they get candies from nearby houses. Actually, some houses give fruits or anything they have on their table like puto and bibingka.
    Thank you for watching!
