I feel like its hard to explain disappointment without the fear of people thinking you are disappointed with your child. I completely understand being a mom of two boys. I love them like no other, but I wanted a daughter and its hard to accept that something I want won't happen.
Somebody who gets it! I have 2 boys and I’m pregnant with baby #3 and I’m honestly terrified to find out the gender. Wen ppl asked well what if you have another boy it was always just all welcome to the gang but now I’m scared😅… I was so excited for my NIPT (Natera Panorama) but now I am terrified after this video!😂😂😂… It’s definitely hard to accept and no matter what ppl say potential daughter in laws and possible grands aren’t the same.
Gender disappointment is very real. I’m going through it right now. Third pregnancy and really hoped and prayed for a girl. Haven’t had the anatomy scan yet but the blood test said boy again and I’m severely depressed about it.

@@maa21190 I know that was crushing. My mom is the only person I know personally who understands how I feel because she has 5 daughters and never had a son. My dad was a real champ about it though. He wanted a son but he never complained and he’d always say to her it’s okay, all of them are ours and we’re gonna love all of em. I so feel like something is missing though because I only wanted at least 1 daughter.
I can relate to what you said. I had gender disappointment but then fell in love with my baby, and then ended up feeling guilty for having the gender disappointment for a really long time.
SAME FOR US! We would like to have a 4th girl after 3 boys in a row and all of my 6 kids want to have a baby sister. But I feel it's another boy LOL. 😅 We'll see if I'm right in May. I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow.
I don't really have a want for a boy vs a girl. It makes no difference to me so I decided to find out early for others sake. But if I had a huge want for a specific gender I'd definitely be more likely to wait to find out for that reason

I definitely appreciate the gender disappointment feelings. We have two boys (now 6 and 4). I didn’t think we’d have a third, so I went through those feelings when I found out the sex of my second boy. Didn’t stop me loving being a boy mum, but just felt sad I’d never experience having a daughter. Anyway, we did end up having a third and was blessed with a girl (she is 5 months tomorrow). I absolutely love having a daughter as well as my 2 boys, but the irony is that I almost feel this weird ‘what if’ guilt.. like what if it had been another boy.. would I still feel so complete/content?! Deep down, I know I would.. but still can’t shake the weird guilt around it!
This topic is taboo people are quick to judge when a gender reveal goes wrong it happened to me with my second boy I was so disappointed and cried and prayed it wasn't true 😂 looking back it was so dramatic I'm currently 10 weeks and hope I finally get my girl but since it happend to me once already I'm ok with another boy but once we get that precious angel in our arms we realize how much we love them and wouldn't change it so don't feel ashamed mama's it completely fine to feel that disappointment at times
Hello! I just got my results today with the same company and it says it’s a girl but I have a strong feeling that it’s still a boy. Either way I am happy whatever Allah has given to us. I will do ultrasounds at 15-16 weeks.

But I felt uneasy about it all And they said it was a girl on paper “consistent with female” but I’m second guess it something is just telling me they are wrong and it’s a boy 😬 could be me being hopeful for a boy idk but my anatomy scan is this Saturday so we will see ! 🤞🏼 Blessed either way!!
Aww mama don’t second guess it! I’m sure it’s right! I’ve seen more be right than wrong, but it definitely is a real feeling. I remember when they called me apart of me kept saying “this is not right.” Well, in my case it wasn’t, but I hope for you it is! Congrats either way!
I have a 6 year old boy currently pregnant with my second I got sneak peek done around 9 weeks it said it’s a boy then my gyn told me to do natera at around 16 weeks still came out a boy I was hoping for a girl mainly because my husband really wants one and all my family told me I was gonna have a girl I started to believe it was a girl because my symptoms where so different I’m not in denial I love and can’t wait to meet my boy but my husband is still hoping that when we go to our ultrasound they’ll tell us it’s a girl lol I’ve told him many times we got 2 results and on different times I’m pretty sure it’s a boy but I can’t make him accept it 😢😂

I got my maternit21 test early in this pregnancy and found out i am having my 2nd boy .. i have always wanted a girl but when my first son was born i got over the gender disappointment .. and now in this pregnancy i got hit harder with the disappointment because this is most likely my last pregnancy due to fertility issues i faced with both pregnancies and mourni the loss of my girl dream .. i am now hoping my bloodtest was wrong but other than that i am trying to trust in Allah and believe He knows whats best for us i must have tawwakul and trust .. i prayed so hard for a girl both times and if i got boys .. i guess there may be a good reason why fron Allah swt

I just had that test done and it says that it’s a girl but I’ve been hearing mixed reviews about that test saying that they were not as accurate as they claim and I got my 12 weeks NT scan today and when I looked at the screen it looked like a boy so now I’m confused but I guess we’ll know for sure at my 20 week visit. I think it’s smart to confirm the gender via ultrasound before doing any gender reveal.

@@jameelaashkar6828 there are incidents out there. It’s just that those are not reported. Most of the families just get occupied with the baby and postpartum life and we should appreciate brave folks like her who want to create awareness around a possibility of getting it wrong ❤️

Omg I would’ve cried like a baby. 😭😭 don’t play with my emotions like that!! I too wanted a girl because I already have a boy. I opened up that envelope and was irked for 5 minutes 🤣😭 I made dua for a girl since I was like a month pregnant. I was let down for a second.
I did cry when I got home from the ultrasound. I wasn’t even upset that it wasn’t a girl, I was just so upset that they played with my emotions, and that I allowed myself to get so excited for something without confirmation. Once I got over it, I got over it and have been in love with this baby boy since! Gender disappointment is definitely real!

Girl I feel you I literally had my first son 3 years ago and I found out I am pregnant back in June . I literally swore this was my girl my mom has no granddaughters I have 5 nephews and one son . Which test did you get ? I got the nipt and it came back a girl but I’m like what if that .01 and it’s a boy 😭😭😭😭😭 I go for my 20 wk ultrasound on March 10 so hopefully I can see her girl parts to confirm but this makes me even more nervous now lol

I just found out today. My blood results were wrong. I’ve been crying all day. I'm 6 months pregnant and the DR did a blood gender test on me and they said I was having a boy. Then for my 21weeks Anatomy test it came out to be a girl. I was pregnant with twins at 6 weeks at 8-9 weeks one vanished. So when the did the blood test they said boy then did the anatomy it's a girl. Now they telling us the baby could be tested as a boy but have girl parts. I'm so confused. They for us to get an accurate gender they wanna put a needle in my stomach to prick the fetus to check its gender I said NO! We'll wait until the baby is boy. With my 1st pregnancy I was told the entire pregnancy it was a boy. Every ultrasound but I felt in my heart it was a girl. 30days prior to her birth I did a 3D/4D ultrasound and was told it was a girl. Prior to there was a surprise baby shower and everything with boy things lol Today (4th child) I was told blood test is a boy but I feel it's a girl. My spirit is telling me it's a girl. (Sweets, heartbeat rate high, I’m growing wide not out, my face is breaking out which never happened for any of my boys) I’ll be happy either way but I just finally want a daughter cause after this I won’t be able to have anymore. This pregnancy is taking its toll on me so I will be getting surgery after this baby.

I just did the sneek peek clinical blood test. It says boy. Problem is I already have 4 BOYS two of which are twins. So trust me I can relate. We tried for a girl this time. So yes disappointment.

Yes so the fetal fraction is the amount of fetal dna in the placenta. Mine was 7%, you only need 4% to determine gender. So, I don’t know what went wrong.

I too wanted a girl because I already have a boy. I opened up that envelope and was irked for 5 minutes 🤣😭 I made dua for a girl since I was like a month pregnant. I was let down for a second.
I did cry when I got home from the ultrasound. I wasn’t even upset that it wasn’t a girl, I was just so upset that they played with my emotions, and that I allowed myself to get so excited for something without confirmation. Once I got over it, I got over it and have been in love with this baby boy since! Gender disappointment is definitely real!

I’m glad I clicked on your video. Because I just got my blood test back and they told me I’m having a boy. I really thought I was having a girl and my whole registry is filled with baby girl things. I had the panorama test done and I don’t know if anyone ever had a negative results from them. I picked out my daughter’s name and now the dad and I are kinda not talking because of this and he thinks all the information I tell him that I get from my doctors he won’t believe me

Girl I feel you I literally had my first son 3 years ago and I found out I am pregnant back in June . I literally swore this was my girl my mom has no granddaughters I have 5 nephews and one son . I just got my genetic testing and it said boy I was so sad because I just knew it was a girl I had a girl name , looking at girl stuff I just was so shocked I still don’t believe it but I know my son happy to have a brother. I got the nipt and it came back a girl but I’m like what if that .01 and it’s a boy 😭😭😭😭😭 I go for my 20 wk ultrasound on March 10 so hopefully I can see her girl parts to confirm but this makes me even more nervous now lol

I just found out today. My blood results were wrong. I’ve been crying all day. I have one girl and really wanted a boy as well and it ended up being a girl but I was happy because they said it was twins and identical twins but they put the order in wrong so now I don’t even have a boy or twins so it’s been a really rough day.

I'm 6 months pregnant and the DR did a blood gender test on me and they said I was having a boy. Then for my 21weeks Anatomy test it came out to be a girl. I was pregnant with twins at 6 weeks at 8-9 weeks one vanished. So when the did the blood test they said boy then did the anatomy it's a girl. Now they telling us the baby could be tested as a boy but have girl parts. I'm so confused. They for us to get an accurate gender they wanna put a needle in my stomach to prick the fetus to check its gender I said NO! We'll wait until the baby is boy. But we went out thinking it was a boy but now they say it's a girl. Bullshit. I'm just done going to the DR's. But congrats on ya baby boy.❤

With my 1st pregnancy I was told the entire pregnancy it was a boy. Every ultrasound but I felt in my heart it was a girl. 30days prior to her birth I did a 3D/4D ultrasound and was told it was a girl. Prior to there was a surprise baby shower and everything with boy things lol

Someone please help me understand how many people experience wrong results. I’m currently pregnant with my 7th child. (Please don’t judge I take care of them very well) so I already have 6boys was praying that this baby I’m carry was a girl but I did the blood work and came back ANOTHER BOY! I’m beyond disappointed I cried my eyes out. I have my big ultrasound at the end of April. I’m praying the results are wrong and I could finally have my girl.

(Sweets, heartbeat rate high, I’m growing wide not out, my face is breaking out which never happened for any of my boys) I’ll be happy either way but I just finally want a daughter cause after this I won’t be able to have anymore. This pregnancy is taking its toll on me so I will be getting surgery after this baby.

I just did the sneek peek clinical blood test. It says boy. Problem is I already have 4 BOYS two of which are twins. So trust me I can relate. We tried for a girl this time. So yes disappointment.
I am im the same boat right now. I have 4 boys as well including a set of twins. They are 7,7,9 and 11. I am 14 weeks and went to an elective ultrasound and was told "it's a boy". I'm still in disbelief and won't believe it until I give birth. I have a gut feeling this baby is a girl.

Yes so the fetal fraction is the amount of fetal dna in the placenta. Mine was 7%, you only need 4% to determine gender. So, I don’t know what went wrong.
