P = 100W
v = 220V
I = P/v
= 100/220
= 0.45 A
For lamp B,
P = 60 W
V = 220v
I = P/V
= 60/220
= 0.27 A
Hence,
Total current = 0.45 + 0.27

sir i have a doubt in question no 4 . (a) calculate energy consumed in SI unit and commercial . but you didn't calculate the SI unit . Is it like that or you left it ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The one he calculated in terms of JOULES is the energy in SI units and the one that he calculated in Kwh is in commercial units

SI means Joules is the SI of power so 3.6x 10^6 is the way of writing for joules so he did do that part recheck :)

I = 12/6

Volume of wire = πr²h
= Area of cross sect x Length
Volume of new wire = volume of old wire
A' x 2L = A'L
A' = A/2
Resistance (R)= ρ x L/A
New Resistance (R') = ρ x 2L/(A/2)
R' = 4ρ x L/A
R' = 4R
R' = 4(6)
R' = 24Ω

Using ohm's Law,
I = V/R
= 12/6
= 2 A
If length of same wire is double then Area became half and Resistance becomes 4 times since , R is directly proportional to length And inversely proportional to Area
R² = 4R = 4 x 6 = 24 ohms
V = 12 v
So,
I² = V/R²
= 12/24
= 0.5 A

but here we have to reciprocal 2/1 to get Rp
so Rp = 1/2 = 0.5 ohm

if u don't reciprocate u get 9 ohms which is actually wrong

Sir, I have a doubt, I need more clarity on Q2 (b). My mam does it in a different method but you just added the powers, are you sure I will get full marks with that method? And what do i write? like p1+p2 or smth? cause I don't think if i directly write the added powers i will get the marks and also in the solution the current is given separately, I am very confused, and also sometimes with this question there is calculate resistance also please clarify my doubt. Bro according to sir when we took both of the seperate resistors together and added we will definitely get marks for that step because it is essential and we can wrote P1+P2 =( total power) I hope this helps u if not srry man I was trying to explain in my way :(
