It looks nice but this has got to be somewhere far south because up here in the northeast ice and salt would destroy that front step in the winter. freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw in those grooves will split that concrete. Salt will wreck the surface. 😥

If you want to do a really quality job next time, do the following: The amount of rebar you put in amounted to nothing. Not even 4' on center. Next time, at least 1/2" rebar 2' on center TIED. Also rebar laying on the gravel with your guys stepping on it does nothing. Put it on chairs to hold it up. Next time, plastic sheeting to protect the owners house and steps from splashed concrete and retarder overspray. Water is the kiss of death for concrete. Next time pour it without so much water, unless you use a super plasticizer. It was nowhere near a 31/2" slump.

I’ve got some cracks in my driveway and some of the pads have shifted. Water has undermined the base along some of the cracks. It’s a 22 year old driveway so I guess that’s to be expected. I dropped some gravel into the undermined spots then filled with dry concrete up to about a half inch below the surface, wet and let set, then finished with some of that Sika self leveling concrete stuff. I topped that with some pebbles and sand to help match the exposed aggregate surface. I’d love to hear your comments on crack repair. It’s a huge driveway and most of it looks good so I didn’t want to replace it, yet anyway. I’m not where there’s much freezing in winter. I love your channel! Your work is very satisfying to watch.

Tom, you know I absolutely love your stamp and rolled pours, I really do. For some reason, idk if it's the color w the overall look or just seeing the stone and having a smooth surface - idk. I sort of see exposed aggregate like red velvet cake. It's cake that tastes great w a color that gives it a look of royalty. Back when y'all did this huge circle in front of a very large and square estate, you o rdd Steven took your camera next door. It was a walk and drive yall did years before and there was exposed aggregate on it. I will never forget how elegant and royal that made that beautiful estate look. Just recently yall poured a drive w aggregate borders and diamonds placed around. Now that was very clever and so elegant looking. Yep, I really like the exposed aggregate as much as the stamped but in sort of a different way. It's just such an elegant, premium, blue blood look. Such that should be around a King's palace or a Rothchilds mansion. This video is a real cliff hanger, I cant wait to see the finished pour. This owner really beautified his home w this, i k how it's gonna be super nice. I cant wait for tomorrow!! Sorry about tripod. Shoot, some days I'll forget to take my meds! I've no idea how many times I forgot to remove my pistol before entering the plant, could have gotten into SO much trouble - not only lost my job, but my CCP, heavy fine, nowadays that would have screamed. TERRORIST! So don't feel bad, some of us forget much more important things than a tripod. Gosh, I have no idea why that home, looking finished, didn't already have a porch e steps there, but man will it be spectacular when y'all get done! Come in tomorrow.....thanks for sharing Tom 👍👌❤🇺🇸🇺🇸

Curious why there is no expansion board against foundation or decking? Also you shouldn't have tied the steps into the house without piles, that could lead to serious issues with the brick buckling. Nice finish on the concrete though
