18:00 I think that if you played veil in response, all your permanents having hexproof from black there would be no legal targets for dismember other than your opponents creature
The problem here was he had no green Mana that whole game because of back to basics. The one green Mana he did get, he cast on that carpet of flowers that got forced twice. So he couldn't hold up veil or cast it at that turn.
I think my favourite thing about this channel (though there are many contenders) might be your reactions to seeing unexpected and bizarre things happening on the other side of the table.
Seeing the Foundations errata for all these cards for the first time is a weird feeling. Beanstalk now has the Nyx frame, Sheoldred's Edict has the "of their choice" wording... It's not _bad,_ just different.
r1g1 at 10:56 you get your witherbloom command gets commandeer'd and they get to save their tamiyo by changing a target to the clue token. but if you slam it pre combat or dont attack with tamiyo then your opponent is obligated to still blow up their tamiyo planeswalker as its the only legal target for the mode. though at that point maybe your opponent doesnt slam the commandeer and theres other stuff you want to resolve? and obviously theyve drawn other cards since peeking at their hand. neat card to play around with
Then again losing a clue token you accidentally generated to get rid of your opponent's only free interaction, counterspell and second delver seems like a pretty good trade to me. I really don't think the opponent would've commandeered if it didn't save Tamiyo
Went 4-0 with a similar list at my local Legacy event. Granted, it's not the MTGO meta, but I went -1 Daze, -1 Nihil Spellbomb +1 Assassin's Trophy (I'll die on a hill for this card) +1 Leovold. I made the mistake of bringing in Cage and Harbinger against Painter, and Harbinger felt particularly awful (left me stuck with Beans in hand). I get that it's for Eldrazi, but I cut them going forward, because Witherbloom and Trophy (with extras in the board) are good at wrecking big mana decks - especially with Tamiyo buying them back.
If we’re being pedantic, no it isn’t. The name of the whole thing is Force of Will, you pluralize the thing. If me and 2 people with the same name are in a room we’re 3 Brian Covals, not 3 Brians Coval.
Depends on if you see Force of Will as a combination of normal English words, or as a name. It's multiple forces of wills, but if you see Force of Will as a name of a thing like "John Smith", then it's "Jon Smiths."
Match 2 game 3 you're asking the question if it was the right call to wasteland them twice. The way I see it, you need to two for one yourself both times, because at that point you didn't need anymore lands and had to draw one extra each time. Meanwhile, your opponent only draws relevant cards, either a land or a spell. If you had pressure, I think it's worth it. Without pressure it puts you down on resources heavily as was pretty obvious as soon as he got out of the screw.
I feel that round 2, game 3 was a double punt. Not using that last ponder a turn earlier and shuffling the bowmaster that would block or at least kill narset and unlock your draw spells
Your colors seem wrong, do you have HDR activated in your monitor settings? I have the same washed out and too bright colors when recording with OBS Studio when I forget to turn off HDR in my monitor settings.
Bosh in legacy and modern currently with a tier 1 deck how much of the match is determined by going first game 1. Has to be over 80% these days. Does magic make a rule shift to give more advantage to player 2 to balance the game? I think its a good question
Being on the play is an advantage, people have tested "fix" ideas, but I don't think anything official has been said about it. Be careful saying random numbers though, there's no way winning the die roll makes you an 80% favorite in any normal game of Magic.

More like hairless beanstalk ... amirite? You have to control that tempo!
18:00 I think that if you played veil in response, all your permanents having hexproof from black there would be no legal targets for dismember other than your opponents creature
Agreed. And he would draw a card off the veil as a blue spell had been cast that turn.
Came here to say this lol

@@shamwhoaHe could have fetched a misty rainforest at that moment. It doesn't untap but you get to cast veil once.
I saw this also. Came looking for the comment as I didn't get to watch the video until just now.
Beans = Automatic View. I don't make the rules.
truth. see beans, watch beans
any island ponder keep deck is an automatic view

A Mandcaped BUG makes the Beanstalk stand taller.
I think my favourite thing about this channel (though there are many contenders) might be your reactions to seeing unexpected and bizarre things happening on the other side of the table.
Match 1, wouldn't Veil have saved Bowmaster since it would have had Hexproof from Black and you no longer controlled Dismember?
Yup that would have been great. Whoops!
1:25:10 Bosh here having a dad moment, mixing up the names of his 2 kids.

44:23 *that's* what Psychic Frog needed to be an ok design to print! Just give it first strike, that'll fix it!
I love BUG. Tamiyo + Thoughtseize just seems absurdly fun when you can get it.
I didn’t know how much I missed control gameplay. This was amazing!
Going to play legacy this weekend and next weekend and was about to tutor up the most recent beans. Now BoshNRoll comes in to save the day as per 💪
Psychic frog jumping beans
BUG is up there with Sharkstill as one of my favorite decks to watch you play

neat card to play around with
When the oppo cracked their own clue, I was like yeah witherbloom is gonna land!..then he made his own target. What a wild line he took.
Then again losing a clue token you accidentally generated to get rid of your opponent's only free interaction, counterspell and second delver seems like a pretty good trade to me. I really don't think the opponent would've commandeered if it didn't save Tamiyo
I have played exactly 2 decks in legacy cloudpost and BUG beans and I love BNRs list for beans
Match 2 is peak legacy gameplay, love to see it
I think at 11:00 the play was to not attack, just use witherbloom first, so there's no other valid target for noncreature removal
oh my gosh i have two kids now and no time but i will make time for bug beans
I get to see Bosh do BUG nonsense? Today is a good day

Match 2 vs Esper control was a thing of beauty
Was not prepared for Eminem 23:48
You definitely seem to be having more fun with your ad reads as of late. :)

The beard balls and beans bundle.
I am absolutely here for all things Beans!!
I love watching beans all the games are so interesting keep it up bosh. (But also play pox we need it)
18:08 I think if you veil there they can't redirect to your creatures
May I be pedantic and say: the plural of "Force of Will" is "Forces of Will" NOT "Force of Wills."

Obligatory algorithmic contribution
BEANS BEANS THE MAGICAL FRUIT THE MORE YOU JAM THE MORE CARDS YOU DRAW THE MORE CARDS YOU DRAW THE MORE LIKELY THE WIN LET'S HAVE BEANS BEANS BEANS
They dread return oracle with 3 cards in library in deck and hand if there was no brainstorm in hand they loose
Hear me out. Anytime you resolve Glarb, Calamit's Augur you WIN! It was MADE for sultai beans and you cant lose! Thank me later. I am the glarb king.
Haven't tested it. Sounds interesting, but at first glance seems hard to justify over Leovold.

Bug pack bean em if you got em
Witherbloom Command Chad

39:26 you could have taken the Force and hard cast it though.

I'm liking this video for the algorithm. But I really dislike watching the frog.
I am unsure if it will be banned tho.
... Bean pack? Nobody?

@ in the few tournaments I’ve watched that’s been the number - maybe a free mul for player 2 or draw 10 bottom 3?
