I only get CH53 or CH05 when I connect more than one indoor unit, the auto addressing says "1" and there's 2 units connected. the outdoor unit is MULTI Vs and can connect up to 16 units.
A CH53 is an outdoor unit communication fault and a CH05 is an indoor unit communication fault. Also, LG requires a minimum of 2 connected units and minimum 40% capacity. The error code you mentioned has to do with your daisy chain communication wiring. You also need to run an auto addressing and then run a hot pipe.
@@GlacierSupplyGroup thanks for replying, I get no errors but it says "pre heating is running" and it doesn't change until I disconnect all the units and only wire one and then it says "ODU is running". I've double, triple and quadruple checked the daisy chain and even replaced the entire line ands I ran the power away from the communication so there isn't any interference but to no avail. im kinda lost
Please help me.i bought lg dual inverter 5star ac . After 3 days. In night the temp is set for 27celcius and enegy control in 60% when we wake up on the morning the room is not cooled but blower is running and the compressor is off. Then after restarting it shows a error code of CH21 and then again restarted the error code became vanished. But the compressor is not turning on after some hours again restarted the compressor runs and cools .Is there any problem?
Ch21 problemas con la tarjeta pcb La que le lleva tensión al compresor haga el cambio de pasta térmica al disipador de calor revise que él ventilador forzador esté trabajando bien y por supuesto revise el compresor
Sub 2 check power supply voltage to the outdoor unit is correct (1ph 220 Vac ±10% or 3ph 380 Vac ±10%). check fuses, if fuses OK replace outdoor main PCB
This video is more for an LG technician, not the average home owner. When the narrator talks about checking the fan motor, what fan motor is he referring to ? The fan motor in the air handler or the fan motor in the compressor unit? What would be much more helpful is an LG trouble shooting video that addresses specific problems. I have one of the larger mini split AC units with the heat pump. The inside unit started hissing, and then the smell of something electrical overheating. Unfortunately it looks like the mini split systems are too complicated for anyone but an experienced LG technician. Very disappointed with mine failing, considering what it costs to have the Freon lines hooked up (rip off). Before I had the LG system, I had a Fredrick mini split system (no longer available) and the technicians from Brandsmart could not figure out what was wrong with it. I got a refund since I bought a 5 year extended warranty, and had to return the entire unit. Friedrich ac units were once top of the line, but not so with the newer ones I've seen.
That's because only a trained technician should be working on these units. These are large commercial units. A homeowner shouldn't be working on any high voltage equipment and a manufacturer isn't going to tell you how due to liability for when some dummy fries themself because they didn't let the inverter board discharge its capacitors.
@@jahblessyourmom Thanks for the reply Chris. I took a few days, but I did figure out what happened with the electrical burning smell and the hissing. Both were not related to the mini split system. The burning smell was from an Ace Hardware power strip on the back porch which is fairly close to the air handler inside the house. I had several items plugged into this power strip, and something caused the strip to short out. It could have been some water dripping from above, or a bad cord on the grinder. The cord melted on the grinder where it plugged into the power strip. The smell made it's way into the house, and my wife was thought it was coming from the air handler. I do think however, it would be helpful if companies would give an explanation of what the various codes are.

Ch 03 and ch 25
Ch52 😥
That's a communication error between main Micom and Sub Micom.
Communication error between inverter PCB and main outdoor unit PCB. Check wiring fuses and LEDs . If OK either inverter or main PCB defective
Ch 51
Unit mismatch. Check model number of units do not exceed maximum. Multi V - also check Sub outdoor unit dipswitch settings
Mine is ch50
It's probably a CH05. I don't see a CH50 in the error code list. If it IS a CH05, that's a communication error.
