- In this video you can get inspiration to build your own camera wagon that can pan from side to side.
The wagon is 3D printed and the project can be downloaded and used for free. Since I don't have a 3D printer myself, good train friends have printed it for me.
The servo I use is Uhlenbrock. It has a built-in decoder and it can be configured so that it can be controlled like a regular locomotive.
As a camera I use a Cube+ - it is unfortunately out of production now, but there are other models that can be used as an alternative - for example an SQ13 I know others have used.

Use 5 files with filename start with: ga_k2j*
If you use a Cube+ camera, you can advantageously stick a 10 mm washer on the cut in the gear wheel. Since the camera is magnetic at the bottom, it will then be stuck on the gear.

Hi Jens, you have implemented the wagon really well. I like it very much. If I look correctly you also have Märklin. How did you implement the power supply? Did you put a grinder underneath the wagon? Thanks for video and best regards, Peter

I soldered a couple of wires to the phase and frame in the inside of the carriage and drilled a hole in the end of the wagon 😊
Wow 🤩 looks like a very cool system! It’s a pity these original Cube-cams are becoming hard to find.
