- The hypocrisy of the Zoramites is amazing. They had fashioned a religion which had no effect on the human soul. Their attitude was the opposite of that proposed by Nephi in which the righteous are always speaking of their God, we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies (2 Nephi 25:26). Yet again, we must ask if we are not guilty of the same hypocrisy in a lesser degree. There are many who do their duty at church but return to their homes to live a lifestyle in conflict with the teachings of the gospel. From Monday to Saturday, they are much more likely to gossip about other members of the ward than they are to speak of God and Christ. In the words of Neal A. Maxwell, “true Christian soldiers are more than weekend warriors.” (Ensign, Nov. 1996, p. 22)

Watching this makes me remember that the Zoramites great sin was pride and now we have a "pride" month that is designated to celebrate homosexuality. I really don't care if people are gay or live that lifestyle but no member of this church should ever be PRO gay just as no member should be pro rape or pro murder or pro ANY perversion or sin. it is so sad that we live in a time were I see even the very elect (temple recommend holders) who have the scriptures laid out before them choose to gratify their pride in celebrating sin with attending marches or wearing jewelry or apparel that signifies the celebration of homosexuality and then justify that Christ is somehow accepting of this. Celebration of sin has never brought anything except a speedy destruction upon any person or society that not only upholds it but chooses to revel in it and then celebrate it. Korihor and the Zoramites both end up becoming perfect examples of this.
Great comment! I was thinking similarly while watching this. Our society is ripe for destruction. Save yourselves by following on wise counsel to hear the spirit and get your food storage.
Much of the same going on in the Church...although there is belief in Christ
We have a lot more in common with the Zoramites than we think. D&C 112: 23-26. We are ripe for destruction as a people and it's going to start with us.
Far too many members are asking that their milk of the gospel be watered down with urine from the philosophies of man.
As I was watching this I got to thinking about how many churches out there do exactly the same thing. As the Zoramites were unwilling to change, so is just about everyone in the world today. They allow no room for the fact that there may be more truth out there and that our Saviour wants to share that truth with us because He loves us and does not want us to die the Spiritual Death that will prevent us from returning to the presence of our Father and our God.
The cold stark fact is we will have to build micro communities. I have about 30 friends that I try to get off the couch and into a reality check. About 5 of them have been inspired to get food, water, first aid etc., But the rest are only being made aware by my comments. I think when it comes down hard they at least might do something for their survival. Lets hope.

I miss the intro music 🥲but this music was beautiful! Instantly made me think of Poldark. Anyways, great video. There are SO many people today who seem to wear the title “Christian”, but it stops there. They wear the title and speak the title, but it isn’t written on their hearts. But writing it on our hearts is not enough. We need to ENGRAVE it there.
What is being taught here? The philosophy of men mingled with scripture.
Zoromites
The Zoramite prayer is also a reminder for division pitting one group against another all while lifting up themselves. Very nazi'istic for sure.

Since comments are turned off the post I want to comment on. Not following LDS ll Archives is not for “whatever reasons.” There are good reasons. It doesn’t matter if video or the written docs. Reasons are same. Find somewhere where you have a reasonable different take and try having and adult discussion. If you don’t think Joseph is the Davidic Servant for example: try that one. There are many other options too. Take section 38 policy personal decision as another example and discuss that. Good luck. Cheers
