Mr. Boyes, your videos have not only improved my pool game, but also my overall quality of life. Specifically, I cannot stop myself from singing "Pool life, it's the only life we know..." My day brightens up immediately. Also, I cannot take a drag shot without thinking of it as a "cheeky Friday night drag shot." Thank you, sir.

the rule of thumb on a power draw spot shot is, if you can draw it to the first diamond like karl is doing, thats considered very good on worn in simonis cloth. New cloth is about the same because you get more slide but you tend to come higher off of the first side rail, maybe scratch into the adjacent side pocket. It depends on cue ball, red circle tends to come higher than a measle ball.

Awesome vid Karl! I really like that pointer about gripping the slate with the bridge hand, that is something that never occurred to me. The biggest challenge for me is keeping my grip loose throughout long draw shots. I can see the motion and concept of power delivery is kind of like the power behind a whip as opposed to a hammer lol. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the video. Concerning the bridge, many top snooker players, Trump for ex. are able to screw very long shots with an open bridge.
