First test run for Auckland's new train (no music)

Raw footage of Auckland's first new electric train being taken on its maiden test run outside Wiri Depot to Puhinui station on 4th October, 2013 - without music so you can hear how quiet it is!
A current commuter train pushed by a diesel locomotive passes by so you can get a good comparison.

The train is currently going through a rigorous testing and commissioning process and will be joined by more new units delivered over the summer period, before first passenger services commence in April 2014.
